## Description

Unique, easy-to-use etching cream for porcelain, ceramic and glazed tile. Replaces the hard work of sanding; shortens prep time up to 80%.

Review: so i bought this before i read the previous review and i thought ' i just wasteds $30!' tyrns out, the stuff is great. i use a brush to glob it on thick. Wait about 5 - 10 min. Wipe it off. Put it back in container and wash the glass with warm water. I'm so glad the other guy was wrong. Maybe he didn't put it on thick enough. It works on glass (not Pyrex), mirror, and metal. It doesn't seem to work on porcelain like it says it does. Considering that glass etching is now my primary income, I'm really glad it works and its reusable. I've used it since like the second week of Dec, and it doesn't look like I've even used it. Whew! Thanks to whoever created this stuff! I do sugest wearing latex or rubber gloves. The stuff is pretty potent. Check out what I use it for on Pinotanriki@etsy.com
Review: A must for preping a porcelain tub for refinishing.Easy to apply and remove.Doesn't smell too bad.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this the same as Armour Etch? Permanent?**
A: This is a permanent etching cream. In comparison to Armour Etch, this gel is not as thick as armour etch, and i felt it did not etch deep into the glass. Had to use multiple layers and still wasnt able to achieve the same results as you would with armour etch.

**Q: Would this be effective in removing paint from a bath tub?**
A: Did you find something that worked to remove paint from a bathtub because I am in the same boat and looking for a good product to help remove the paint from a bath tub?

**Q: I have to repair scratches should i repair, etch than glaze?**
A: How deep are the scratches? Would you describe them as gouges, as if sharp objects had fallen into the tub? If just minor scratches the etching cream should be sufficient.
The tub and sinks that I refinished were in a historic house, and it worked very well

**Q: How much surface area will a quart cover?**
A: I used it on an early 1920s bathtub, which is considerably longer, deeper and wider than a modern one. I would guess that the surface area was approximately 96 square feet, and more than 5 ounces of the solution remained. It is an incredible product.

This isn't as good as the Armour Etching Cream -- tho the directions say 5 minutes, my class found that it took much longer. I bought this product because I got more product for the money I paid as I was teaching a class.
