I have bout and installed a lot of range hood as I am a contractor. this has been the best build quality. It wasn't the easiest to install. The directions need to be read carefully before installing. the build quality is top notch and there are a lot of thoughtful feature. The vent filters have a safety cable so they fall out when being removed. The hood has a built in air quality sensor that allows the fan to come on and quietly vent out air. Voice control with Alexa or Google through the smartthings app.

Very quiet and nice hood for the kitchen, it connects to Samsung app as well. I like the look how it matches my other Samsung appliances.

Amazon and Samsung both refuse to provide any sensible support to replace a damaged part (bent filter) in the range hood fan. The bent filter was only apparent after the range hood fan had been installed.When I initially contacted Amazon support, they referred me to Samsung to resolve the matter. Samsung's position, after speaking with two separate customer support agents, is that they won't replace the damaged part as the range hood fan was not purchased via Samsung's website or thru Samsung's authorized parts retailer. Apparently, the 1-year manufacturer warranty for the range hood fan from Samsung is totally meaningless, despite the fact that the item was purchased less than a month ago. Samsung insisted that the responsibility to replace the damaged part lies with Amazon.After contacting Amazon support a second time, I was referred to their concern team, and I was assured that they would work with me to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, that has not been the case, and quite the opposite actually.My matter has been passed off to at least SEVEN different customer support agents: Blue Rose, Monika, Jerwin P., Anna, Mel I., Pratik, and other nameless individual(s). In every case, the customer support agents have clearly not read my concerns, nor addressed them -- as I had explained to them on numerous occasions, I only want and need the bent filter replaced.Amazon's "solutions" are to:1) request order details multiple times from the customer but still reference the wrong order entirely in correspondence2) attempt to unilaterally initiate a return/refund process without the customer's consent3) request that the customer be responsible for paying the cost in full to ship the entire range hood fan back to them as part of the return/refund process, despite the fact that the seller IS Amazon, and that the damage was either caused by Amazon or by Samsung during manufacturing or order fulfillment4) outright misrepresent the customer's position (i.e. did not request a full refund and did not dispose of the item either)I have requested that the matter be escalated to the executive customer support team, but so far, I've continued to receive the same nonsensical formulaic responses from their customer support agents.I would be willing to consider replacement of the full range hood fan if:1) Amazon could provide a guarantee that the replacement unit would arrive damage free2) Amazon would bear the full cost to ship back the damaged unit3) Amazon would reimburse me in full for the cost of unitAlternatively, I would be willing to accept a refund from Amazon equivalent to the cost of the replacement filter (of course, assuming I am able to source the part on my own, which is unknown at this time).Or lastly, Amazon and Samsung could work together to get me a replacement filter.Despite being presented with these reasonable and sensible options, Amazon support has steadfastly refused to even acknowledge them.

I got it professionally installed including ducking. The suction power seems sufficient and auto fan speed adjust based on air quality. My only complaint is that I cannot pair auto-on feature with my cafe cook oven stove top. It appears to only with Samsung oven range. But since this is expected, I give them a pass.

This is super overkill but for someone who cooks, it's definitely a gift.Why is does thing have an app? For years it's been a joke, why does everything have an app? Fridges, toothbrushes, not everything needs an app. We have enough apps on our phones. However this at least uses the general samsung smart things app which you can use on other devices.Info=4 fan speeds=very modern look=This is available in three colors: clean white, clean grey, and clean deep charcoal. The last one seems to be more expensive but prices may vary. Shop around.=There is also a 36" available besides the 30"=There are some accessories such as extension kit, recirculation kit, recirculation filter although those are nearly as expensive as the unit itself.Pros=samsung quality and integration into other devices. For example, it can turn on auto when you turn a burner on with compatible items.=one of the best features is the air quality detection=color selection=automatically adjusts itself while you cook=quiet. My old one fills the whole house with the fan noise. 52 dBA=you can sync the hood with the stove if you have a matching pair.=if you're really feeling tech, you can use voice assist=Display looks awesome=630 CFM / 630 cu. ft. per minute=Nice LED light (my old one has 2 bulbs that they want $20 each to replace)Cons=cost, but hey you might have this for years
