I bought these kits for my granddaughters as I remember making them when I was young. This kit is well made. It makes a zippered pillow cover. You will only have to buy the insert on Amazon once they are finished. All materials are well made. Everything comes within the kit. I would highly recommend buy this product if you are looking for gift for someone or to do yourself.

The pillow came out nice. I would of given it a five star, however, the yarn was a little cheap & thin. Also you couldn’t follow stamped picture and totally had to follow guide & count to be accurate. I did another brand & the yarn was soooooo much better quality. Overall the pillow came out nice though.

Don’t buy it. It’s a cute design but didn’t come with all the colors it needs or the hook like it says. Ruined Christmas gift.

I remember doing latch hook as a child so I got this for my kid. She is 10, obsessed with cats, and love this. It is easy for her to do, with some supervision, and fun.

I did not realize from the listing that this latch hook kit is actually a decorative pillow case! I ordered the sunflower pattern and got started on it right away. Something to note is that I have done a few latch hook kits before and really like them. However, once they are done I really don't know what to do with them so I was thrilled that this set can be used as a pillow cover once completed. I personally think this set could be perfect with a few tweaks. Here are a few takeaways from completing several rows at this point:1) The latch hook tool that comes with it is not great. The one that came with mine kept getting stuck and I had actually ordered another latch hook kit at the same time as this one and swapped out the hook, and that has helped a lot. For first time latch hook users, I would recommend getting a better hook to use. The one I am using instead has a rounded wooden handle and the hook itself is a little sturdier. The one included is plastic and not as sturdy.2) The colors of the yarn differs from the colors on the pattern and on the instructions. I suggest laying out all of the yarn and grouping the same colors together. Most of them have the corresponding letters that are listed on the reference chart. (note "black" on the chart is the dark grey yarn and "white" on the chart is the lightest yellow yarn - it does not come with black or white yarn and you are not missing any). 3) when you go line by line, make sure you reference the chart as the printout on the grid is not perfect. It really helps to look at both. Once you get started and acknowledge the little quirks it will get much easier and I am really enjoying this latch hook set and love that once I complete it, the finished product is something useful! I love this set, I only removed the one star because of the hook, otherwise it's awesome!

This was such a fun kit to work on! My favorite part about this is that the finished product is actually functional. Having these be a pillowcase is brilliant!I’ve never actually tried latch hooking before, but I found this to be an excellent kit for beginners. The instructions at first were admittedly not very clear to me. I ended up having to watch some YouTube videos and have a friend who latchhooks show me how the process works. I struggled at first even with I. Person instructions though, so this is a craft that you just have to get a feel for!Once I figured out how to use the tool, I found everything else very easy to follow! The kit came with the yarn all pre labeled so finding the color you needed was easy. The design was printed right on the canvas, but there were certain areas where the color bled a bit into other areas, so having the paper to follow was much appreciated! The kit also includes a ton of extra yarn, so if you mess up a spot and have to pull your thread out, it’s no worries!I’m so happy with the finished product! The pumpkin design is really cute and the colors all are vivid and fun. I’m excited to put this out closer to the holiday!
