My 4 year old really enjoyed doing this with me and we had so much fun! We had a cup of water and she used a pipette to drop water on the area she was excavating which made it easier for her. We had a blast doing this and reading through the guide book. It came with a little pouch for all the stones to come in. The stones were on the small side think of gemstone confetti but we got this kid on a deal and it was definitely worth the money! My child enjoyed learning about the different types of gems and there was a great variety of stones in the kit. I would definitely purchase this again. We put the dig inside of a plastic tub/sensory table so it don’t get too messy for us!

Love this beautiful toy which is a teaching toy. Attempting to show my grandchildren appreciation for natural world and for geology and archeology.

I bought the National Geographic Gemstone Dig Kit as a gift for my nieces, and they absolutely loved it! It kept them entertained while also teaching them about gemstones, which was a huge bonus. They were so excited digging and discovering each gem, it really felt like a real treasure hunt for them. The kit was easy to use, not too messy, and very engaging. It’s a great mix of fun and learning, and perfect for curious kids who love hands on activities. This made an excellent gift and I would definitely buy it again for birthdays or holidays. Highly recommend!

My 6yo and I found 80+ rocks! It’s definitely messy, so make sure you cover your work surface! I do wish it came with some better tools, because my fingers and hand definitely started to get pretty sore towards the end. Great for keeping kids busy for a little bit.

This is a great gift for any child that loves pretty rocks I bought 2 and the first one had more stones in it than advertised I loved doing this with my daughter I haven't done the second one yet but I'm excited for it. It is smaller than I thought though but still a great find

I made the same mistake with another kit with my 4yo. Then we accidentally stumbled on to the truth - you get about 20-30 extra stones!! You just have to dig where you think you don’t need to. I don’t want to give it away because it’s a very lovely surprise when you hit on it. Suffice to say, this gave us an extra day of fun, after 4 other days. You can stretch out the fun if you don’t dig too hard and use the brushes and water to clean. Make sure to cover your working surface with newspaper because the plaster gets everywhere otherwise. It’s literal hours of fun so enjoy - an awesome Christmas present!

Kids love digging for real gemstones! Great hands-on activity that combines learning and excitement. Awesome STEM gift.

My 6 year old loves this and kept him Occupied for a while. My 3yo wasn’t able to dig much but nonetheless enjoyed collecting all the beautiful precious stones.

Grazie al programma Amazon Vine ho avuto modo di provare questo Mega Kit di Scavo di Gemme National Geographic. Il gioco è molto carino e ben pensato, completo di attrezzi, guida didattica e scheda di identificazione delle gemme. Il mattone è grande e offre parecchio materiale da scavare, rendendo l’esperienza divertente e coinvolgente. È stato un ottimo passatempo durante le feste natalizie, soprattutto da condividere con i bambini: mi sono divertito molto a giocarci insieme ai miei nipotini, tra curiosità, scoperte e un po’ di sana “archeologia” improvvisata 😄 Nel complesso un gioco educativo e divertente, ideale per stimolare la curiosità e passare del tempo di qualità in famiglia. (Unico neo, gli strumenti lasciano il tempo che trovano, e la qualità non è totalmente adeguata per lo scopo!)
