Perfect for our 3 year old
Perfect for our 3 year old. The age recommendations varied from different on-line sources. Some said it was too old for a 3 year old but it has been great for ours. This was recommended to us by a physical therapist to help strengthen legs. So far, it appears to be working those legs!It expands so there is plenty of room for her to grow and still be able to use the scooter. It was easy for her to learn the concept of what to do. The folding handlebar feature is easy to use and allows us to keep it in our vehicle for unexpected park visits. It works best on concrete sidewalks or asphalt. Tar and gravel are a bit too rough of a surface for this.

Not as good as other Yvolution products
This scooter has a flaw. It is designed to fold up for storage but while in use that folding mechanism triggers and the handle comes loose and turns around. On one occasion the handle came completely detached from the scooter. My daughter has said that it is not as easy to steer as her original Y Glider scooter.

Difficult to navigate
I had a Yvolution for my daughter a couple years ago and she loved it. At 2-3 years old she was flying on it. Now she’s 5 but someone broke her scooter, so I bought her this one because the first one wasn’t adjustable and she’s much bigger now.She likes it but it is incredibly difficult for her to navigate the front wheels the way they’re supposed to. They’re supposed to twist from side to side to make the gliding smooth but I found the one way is to push down on the handle bars real hard, push them up and then to the side I want to turn. Which my five year old doesn’t have the strength to do. Even my 11 year olds were blown away and said they wouldn’t want to ride it because they couldn’t figure out how to make it move from side to side.My daughter has figured out how to use it but she is having to stop constantly to straighten it so she doesn’t veer off into a wall or something.

So cute and fun
The best scooter for my daughter. It is her favorite. I love it also because it cleans up easily, drives smooth and quiet, barely makes any noise and it's so cute. I'm getting one more for my other girl who can almost ride it too because they do not share anything.

Loud popping sound on back wheel
Bought this and there was a loud popping sound coming from the back wheel. It was very noticeable. Returned it for a replacement, the new one received had the same issue. Absolutely a design problem with this model. No response from manufacturer.

No replacement parts and terrible customer service!
I bought this scooter for my son because it was more expensive than some others I looked at, which I thought would mean it was higher quality. I also chose it because it has a folding feature and thus seems great for travel. About a year in, the pieces that allow it to fold (a plastic folding pin, a metal bar, and a nut that tightens the whole thing) fell off and got lost. Those pieces are critical for the entire function of the scooter - the handle won't attach to the base without them. I reached out to the manufacturer to see if I could order replacement parts. I sent a picture of the pieces I wanted and was clear about the problem, the make/model, etc. Before they would even respond, they required me to put together an additional email with the following information:(1) Which product exactly do you have?; (2) What is the problem?; (3) Please attach photos/videos of the problem; (4) Please attach a photo of the product label. This lists the Warnings, batch number/code, manufacturing date and the manufacturer's address - you can find this on a label on the product itself (not on the box); (5) When was the product purchased?; (6) Where did you buy the product? Please attach a copy of your receipt - required to cover your product under the 12 month manufacturer's warranty; (7) Finally, please let me know your full name, full delivery address and contact number.Even though I had already provided them most of this information already, I still had to dig out the receipt and put together another lengthy email. Turns out we were a few months outside of the 1 year warranty, but it didn't really matter because I offered to pay for the pieces in full from the beginning - anything to not have to throw this expensive, still-like-new scooter in the trash. After all the trouble putting together the information they wanted, I got a three sentence response email that basically said they don't have the parts available as spare parts and that I should go to a hardware or bike store to get replacement parts. Unfortunately the plastic folding pin is a custom piece that you can't find anywhere other than from the original manufacturer. Regardless, putting random parts on this scooter seems like a huge safety liability issue and I was shocked that the company would even suggest doing such a thing knowing that small children are using their products. I let them know how upset I was and... no response. So we have a perfectly good, higher-end scooter, only used for a year and now it has to go straight to the landfill. Ridiculous! I don't understand why the company wouldn't have these parts available - they sell plenty of other spare parts, why not the ones that are most critical to this model scooter? Take my advice: don't buy this scooter and don't support this company! The folding pin comes loose after each use of the scooter and if you don't constantly tighten it, trust me, your kid WILL lose it too and you'll be in the same position as me - can't get the replacement parts and forced to throw the scooter and the $100 you spent on it right in the garbage.
