Nice idea but bad buy
I bought this item in Feb and it is now defunct. It stayed in one place and was switched off at night so the usage was low and yet the little internal fan , that makes the jellyfish move, is not working anymore. Nice idea and initially great but the durability sucks big time. save your money.

Really Cool Lamp!
I bought this lamp for my son and he really likes it! It’s easy to use and has various colours. It looks really cool with the jelly fish floating around

Looks great when working
The media could not be loaded. Started making strange noises and jellyfish kept getting trapped in the bottom. Stopped working after a month.

Stops working
Only used for a few days. The motor has now gone and makes an awful noise. Sent back.

Looks really cool once I made a fix.
The media could not be loaded. This jellyfish aquarium light was easy to put together. You just fill up the plastic tube with water, add some washing up liquid, cover the jellyfish in washing up liquid and place in the aquarium.Couple of issues: The bell of the jellyfish gets air trapped under it so you need to knock this bubble out. Then there's the lid that just fits on the top. There’s no securing the lid so if you were to knock it over there would be a lot of water spilt. Also the water needs to be changed regularly so you can’t do anything about fixing this yourself. It really would be better being a screw fitting. I advise keeping it out of reach of young children to avoid any accidents. It has a remote control and USB plug supplied. I used a power bank as the power supply to give me more freedom on where to place the lamp. You can select colour change from a button near the base and also turn it on and off near the base but the remote control gives you a wider range of lighting options.I was disappointed that the jellyfish just bobbed about on the top. I decided this was a fault in the design and the jelly fish should be slightly better weighted. I played about with adding weight to the jellyfish and in the end settled with a small washer (M2.5) glued to the underside of the body. The results were much better and bought the jellyfish to life. See the video.

good, fun looking lamp but lid needs to be better
This Jellyfish lava style lamp is good fun watching them swim up and down just like the real thing and the colours make it easy to blend in to any room. The main unit is a plastic tube with a plastic base that has the on/off switch and a colour selection switch. On the bottom side you have a screw securing battery compartment which i wish just had a rechargeable battery in and round the back a bespoke round power port for the cable, by now this should really be the universal USB-C port and cable to power it.You put the water and a tiny bit of washing liquid in the tube and then in go your jellyfish which once you get the bubbles off them look really cool especially on some of the colour options you can set the light to light up with. Huge downside is the lid, its just placed on and very loose so super easy to knock off, this really need to be screw on or at least snug to stop accidents.Overall, for £26.99 its a nice light but has its issues that need to be improved to make it value for money.
