I'm sure I am not the target demographic for this product (guy with thinning hair on top), but this is my honest review of the stuff. It is not a miracle product or anything, but it definitely will give you volume without making your hair tacky or smell obnoxious.It is pretty straightforward stuff. After a shower, towel dry your hair and then spray your hair with Boldify before blow drying. As you can see, my hair is about shoulder length and it takes me around 6-12 pumps to get decent cover (roots and all). You can experiment, but I imagine people with long hair will run through the 8oz bottle fairly quickly. I used the blow dryer to get to around 90-95% dry and then hit it with the cold shot for about 10 seconds. Comes out pretty good to be honest. (In my pictures, I showered, shampoo & conditioned, towel dried [picture 1], blow dried [picture 2] and then re-wet, added this product and blow dried once more [picture 3]).The smell is rather neutral. It's not too "fruity" or feminine, like other volumizing stuff, though it has a slight chemical smell. Nothing obnoxious or lingering in my experience. The only real drawback I could say is the cost/ounce. It is somewhat expensive and if you have a lot of hair, you will definitely go through it fast if you use it on any consistent basis. I have one other spray (from Pantene, picked up locally) which was 50% less expensive and gives similar results, though with a much more pronounced scent.All in all, it works and will give you volume and that "blow out" look if that's your thing. I'll probably be cutting the hair as it is thinning sadly, but I thought I would give a review with pictures since it was lacking here on Amazon.

I have medium length fine, thin hair and this product absolutely worked to plump it up. It has a light perfume smell. I liked the smell but I wasn't sure my husband would, although he never smelled anything. It appears to dissapate after about 10 mins. I used this product on towel-dried hair, both on the roots and on the strands. I would disagree with other reviews that it is drying. I did not experience that. The bottle is square shaped instead of round, and is a little difficult to hang onto, particularly when applying this to the back of my head. This is NOT a hairspray, so it gives no hold. Just plumped up hair - and it absolutely does its job.

This spray really does add volume. The directions say to spray hair in sections, but I don't have the patience for that. I spray some in my hand, rub my hands together and apply it that way and it works great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the smell is pretty unpleasant. It reminds me of old man cologne. And it does linger for an hour or two. But other than that, it's a great product.

Update: I tried again to use the square bottle and a little better but it squirt out a little at a time and not sprayed out as it should. So hard on the hand to hold it and I found the old 4oz travel bottle and poured it in there and better luck and checking out to see if you also changed the formula of this like you regretfully did with shampoo and conditioner.The square bottle is a challenge to grip and then use the pump to spray. My hands must be weak! I never had a problem with the round container and think the square corners are cutting into my hand while trying to hold the container firmly enough to dispense the spray. Nice look but terrible to use and giving up on it and using another brand - watching for improved design.

I have tried so many volumizing hair products and this by far my favorite! For the price and amount you get you can’t beat it. It is great, I put it on wet, it’s not sticky it blow dries nice gives my hair soft volume and is still manageable, lasts all day! Definitely my fave!

absolute best for product thickening my thinning hair i’ve ever used! i have tried everything! leaves no residue or thick sticky hair, just simplymakes it less thin!

A tiny bit of volume, ZERO hold.I normally don't write reviews, but this stuff just made me angry. I have fine straight hair.I tried it twice now, using different amounts of product. Makes my hair hanging limply with the ends frizzed-looking. Looks greasy after just a few hours. No hold at all.Any cheap volumizing mousse from your local grocery store will do a better job.UPDATE:I still don't like this product (in fact I poured it down the drain after just 2 uses). But I'm impressed with the seller's prompt response to my review, offering a full refund. Gotta respect that!

I love this blowout spray. I am thrilled that I have finally found a decent volumizing product. I have learned over the past 30 years to not expect miracles from hair care products, yet I kept looking for that magic spray. I have very fine hair and lots of it. It's always very limp and lifeless. Up until this spray - hooray!!! This blowout spray adds texture and volume. I can only say that my hair looks great. It makes my hair just a tad stiff, but that is good for my hair since it's so fine. I added it to dry hair today, but I will use it on towel-dried hair tomorrow. It may not be the spray for everyone, but I am glad I found this Bolidfy product and look forward to more purchases.
