Great Deal, Worked like a charm!
Fan was not going fast enough no matter what speed we put it on. I changed out the capacitator with this and now the fan works like brand new!!

Printed diagram does not match switch, otherwise right
Be careful, the printed diagram has terminals 1 and 2 reversed. The molded diagram on the switch is right. Terminals L and 3 are okay.

Fixed Our Fan
Our fan just quit one day. It would spin freely. Had not overheated.Power cycled it from the wall switch, and it ran for a few seconds, then just slowed to a stop again. All speeds did this, so my best guess was the run capacitor.Mine turned out to be 4µf which I found out after I ordered this kit. The one in the kit has 4.5µf, 5µf, and 6µf. Hoping the 4.5µf would be 'close enough', I replaced the original using one of the gray wires and the red wire. It worked.A lot less expensive than a new fan.If you do not feel confident working with electrical wiring, please get someone to do this for you.Hope this helpsJim

Exactly what was needed
My ceiling fan began smoking. One look and it was obvious that the capacitor was fried... This capacitor and pull switch was all I needed to repair like new. A few dollars for this capacitor and switch saved a several hundred dollars fan.

Too tall to fit in fan
I ordered and received the exact part number that was on the original part. However, this part was about 1/4” taller and would not fit in the place where the original sat. That seems like it wouldn’t be a big deal, right? Well, it was. I could not get the cover back on so I have to find the smaller version and try again.
