Is this normal or I have got a faulty one??** A: I brought this as a gift but I did help set it up for the first use. The user manual details all the screen display information. The translation in the manual isn't great English but I understood it well enough to get the charger working, it is quite simple to use. From what I remember if you had no battery loaded into it then it would display something of this nature, to show there is no current running through it- null simply means zero or nothing (unlike when it is charging, when there would be a current running through it). Make sure you've read the manual (so many people skip this step and it is important to do, not just for knowing how it works but for your own safety) and try a rechargeable battery in it, making sure the battery is put in the right way round. There will only be current running through if a battery is correctly inserted. The manufacturers website and shows a lot of information which is in German from what I remember but I use Google Chrome which translates for you. Failing this, get the manufacturers email from the instructions, they will be able to respond in English. It is an excellent charger, we've had no trouble. **Q: Hi. Does this beep when any cell has finished charging / discharging so you know when to check on it?** A: No, it doesn't make any sounds. Each battery has a separate button which then shows an individual indicator and status message so when a charge has finished, an "END" message is displayed. You can then remove that battery and replace it with another for charging without interfering with the others. I get why manufacturers favour usb, it is something most, of not all people have access to- a USB charger, all that needs to go in the box is a lead rather than make a plug to fit whatever country the item is to be sold in. I was also concerned about the high number of counterfeit chargers on the market. When I saw this listing I checked the manufacturers website, with a little help from Google translate! I also read many reviews for the previous model to this and was very impressed by all I saw. The manufacturers, though maybe not well known to many in the UK have a great reputation on the continent and in the US. Once I got the item here I saw I was correct in my choice. A charger that charges many types of battery, each channel can be individually programmed and has an easy to read LCD display. The instructions were easy to follow even though the translation from German wasn't perfect. I mention this as often we worry about items that come with instructions that are written in less than perfect English but there are no such concerns here at all. The plug is safe and UK compliant, the unit itself seems very well built. By way of a test we did a complete discharge then recharge of a 18650 battery at a charge rate of 500 mAmps and it took only 4 hours. 4 batteries can be charged at once if need be which suits him as his time for such things is limited. It has few buttons and is sensibly, cleverly and intuitively laid out. There are various pieces diagnostic information provided by the display too. Other half is delighted with it, we know there are cheaper chargers on the market but after a couple of days we are convinced it was worth every penny of the price we paid. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great charger with individual battery programming *by A***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 June 2016* I got it because it charges NiCd, NiMH and Li-Ion batteries and because it has three different programs, normal charge, fast test, where it fully discharges then charges the battery and normal test where it charges, discharges then charges. Each of four batteries can be programmed separately and the charging current for each battery can be selected separately from 300, 500, 700 or 1000mA.Although it doesn't advertise it, it does seem to revive very flat batteries, I had one that didn't activate the display when inserted but when left in the slot did proceed to charge later.
