Will this fit the kryptonite new york lock m18-wl?

I can’t tell you about that specific lock, but the fixings are Velcro, so pretty much any D-lock with fit if it’s not too chunky for the plastic part of the mount that fixes to the bars.

Does this attachment have an effect on steering?

I attached it close to the centre of the handlebars so it doesn’t effect the steering.

Will this fit the forgetaboutit lock

Yes, it will fit it fine. I have the slightly longer kryptonite New York lock and it holds it easy. The straps are straps are big enough to firmly hold a variety of sizes
