RAB Women's Microlight Alpine Down Jacket

Selection of size wasn't available on Amazon so had to check on the sellers website and made decision.. So all this took time and I missed the some discount that I found the day before :-( Otherwise quality seems good , yet to try in Canadian winters hope it works!

The jacket is just amazing. Got it for my mother for her trek in Kashmir. It served very well in the cold. Hats off Trek Kit for getting these products in India.

This review I am making after using this jacket this season. Down feather is coming out from multiple pin holes all around stitching line. In Indian standard this jacket is premium and costly. It was not expected. It is embarrassing to wear it in any gathering also as the down feather may come out from any place of the jacket at any time. It has totally been useless. I am not sure if the company provides any replacement or repair since I purchased it in August 2025

A nice jacket, but the Medium was snug and too short for what I needed. Order up on size and if you are looking for a short jacket, this is nice.

I've used the coat regularly for about 3 weeks now and am so happy with it! I previously had a Sierra Designs Elite Dri Down Hoody which I also loved so much (not flattering, but very functional)- but it had an unfortunate accident with a box blade. First, the coat runs true to size despite what several other reviewers stated. I swam in the XL so had to exchange it for a Large (I wear a women's 14). I can wear a fleece under the Large and yet it also fits under my waterproof shell (LL Bean wms lg). Second, like a few others mentioned- a couple of feathers have popped out, but it hasn't been an issue for me - have only noticed once so far. Third, water beads up and rolls off this perfectly. I have poor circulation issues and am usually pretty chilled in the winter- even at 40 and rainy here in the Pacific NW (the wet cold is must worse than a colder dry cold for me). I walk my dogs rain or shine and this coat is working out fantastic! It is keeping me warm and our normal winter drizzle beads up and rolls right off without soaking into the coat. The loft is great and is super cozy as well as warm. The hood is great and keeps the drizzle off my face. I do wear it under a waterproof shell if it is really dumping or I know I will be out in the drizzle longer than 30 minutes. Lastly, I tried out multiple coats and my main must haves are all checked off with this great coat. 1- it is warm and there is enough loft to make it feel cozy 2- it is water resistant... drizzle doesn't affect it for under 30 minutes (haven't tried longer) 3- the inside does not have fabric that will catch on anything, including the hood (fleece lined hoods really do a number on my curly hair) 4- it looks flattering to my pear-shaped, long-torso figure- (it falls below my hip, I am a curvy on bottom 5-8 with a long torso and smaller chest size) 5- durable outer fabric and zipper 6- lightweight and packable in a small space 7- extra pockets (other than the handwarmer pockets) The only thing it did not check off was the price- I was hoping for $200 or less, but this coat was worth the extra $80 over that- it was significantly better than everything else I tried. I also found a great review site called outdoor gear lab (they buy everything they try out- so no bias) and this one was listed as one of their best buys in best down coats for women. Their reviews helped me narrow down which coats to try and their review of this one is spot on.

I bought this for my wife as a present, and she loves it ! It is not cheap, but it is clearly a very high quality garment; very well made with nice details, and well fitted.

Ich hätte die Jacke sofort zurückschicken sollen, als ich bemerkte, dass eine Feder herausfiel. Meine Frau ist zwar mit der Wärme zufrieden, aber die Jacke wird nicht lange halten. Jeden Tag lösen sich Federn aus den Nähten. Ich glaube nicht, dass die Jacke richtig genäht wurde. Leider entscheidet genau das darüber, ob sie lange hält oder nicht. Ich bin von dieser Marke enttäuscht.
