Nikon Zf: Retro Style Meets Modern Performance
The Nikon Zf blends vintage design with modern performance, featuring a 24.5MP full-frame sensor for outstanding image quality. It offers fast, accurate autofocus with eye and subject detection. The solid metal build and classic manual controls appeal to both enthusiasts and professionals. Battery life is good enough, and while the rear screen brightness could be better in strong sunlight, the viewfinder remains bright and clear in all conditions.

Incredible Camera
As a photographer of 20 years experience, I have been nothing but impressed with the Nikon Zf. It’s given me a consistent quality end product every single time, and most times, I’m surprised I took the photo. I, personally, am a huge fan of their ode-to-film camera controls atop the camera body. These basic controls allow for extremely fast on-the-go adjustments to combat lost opportunity during photoshoots. With a 128GB memory card, and my newly purchased 24mm-400mm telephoto, I’ve been having a lot of fun. The camera does weigh a little more than others but it feels tough in your hands. I also really love the hard body metal design. It gives the impression that the camera is actually an old film camera. It’s gotten me into theme parks and concerts and all sorts of places because people think it’s not digital. Of course I wish it were far less expensive than it was but I subsequently decided to make the purchase. At the time, I was in disbelief at the price. I am still in disbelief but we can’t control the camera market. The camera itself is a work horse and has been my right hand machine for a year straight with zero issues. The black and white photo mode is a sweet unnecessary but nostalgic plus. Good job, Nikon.

Simply Amazing
3/11/2014: I ordered this camera as an upgrade from a D7500. I've only just gotten to start using it as I was away when I ordered it (reason for late review compared to order date). The new Nikon Z platform is just simply amazing, better in almost every way compared to the older DSLRs. Plus the vintage look of a rangefinder style body? Amazing! Picture quality; What can I say more than simply amazing? Having the full frame at 24.5mp makes all the small details just pop! As well as being able to crop photos without losing detail. Autofocus; The new autofocus system is awesome and can track humans, most animals, planes, and cars/motorcycles automatically. You can choose what it prioritizes. Focusing is lightning fast and smooth. VR; The vibration reduction is almost magic. I have somewhat shaky hands (especially when holding 9+ pounds worth of camera/lens). Image stays still until you point in a different direction. Auto mode; I used to be an advocate for "you have to use manual or you're not a real photographer!" That is until I tested out auto on this camera. Unless you want to get a specific look, i.e. depth of field / over/under exposure / motion / etc. The auto mode is super fast and deliveries perfect photos. My only complaint about this camera is the thumb and pointer finger wheels can't be set up to change shutter speed, ISO, or compensation (that I have found, This may just be user error). I recommend this camera 10/10. Will add photos when I return from my vacation!

SCAM?
Caution! The camera is a US model, but the lens serial number is not recognized by Nikon USA. I think it is a gray market import that will not be serviced by by Nikon.

Great camera
This is the most that I have ever spent on a camera….first Nikon as well. My last Mirrorless camera is nice and small but all of the controls are hidden and require checking the manual nearby every time. This is very nice, much easier to do the things that you need often. Ergonomics are not a major thought to this though, the playback button is on the wrong side, and I keep hitting the wrong button for back button autofocus. Focus system is great, eye autofocus finds the eyes nearly everytime, even our dogs. Enjoy using the camera, it reminds me of my first SLR way back in time…

An excellent mirrorless camera
This is an excellent mirrorless camera. You will gain two f-stops of light capture. The body is solid and feels like a real camera should feel. It is great to be able to frame with a view finder.

So far, happy with setting the camera up, and learning how to use it. Like its size, and ease of use. Love it’s color quality.

Incredible Camera
I have had my Z F for just under a week but have taken a few walks with it and have gotten some amazing pictures. I really enjoy the "old school" ISO, SS, f stop selector knobs. So much better for me than fumbling through digital screens. The Nikkor 24:70 lens is a great all around lens to keep on the body.
