A PROFESSIONAL QUALITY LASER-LINE LEVEL!
I am a member of the Amazon Vine program. I order new items, and then write honest reviews of that product, along with my impressions and experiences. I am not paid to write these reviews.I ordered this Firecore Professional Green Cross Line Laser to help me with some projects I have planned for my new house and new workshop. I have used other brands of similar line laser tools before, and I have to say this one is truly of professional quality. It is well made, and quite durable and accurate. Only time will tell, but I suspect it will last me a long, long time.I have no way of measuring how far this line laser will actually throw a reference line, but it will throw a line farther than I will ever need it to do. The line is sharp and clear, and easily referenced, at least while the three Double-A batteries (included) are nice and fresh. It comes with a heavy-duty, nicely fitted woven nylon storage case. It also comes with a bracket that allows me to mount it on a wall or a wall stud. It has three strong magnets that will hold it securely on a metal stud, too. Finally, there is a threaded insert on the bottom of the bracket that will allow me to screw it down on the top of a tripod stand. The secret to this laser level is this: While it is locked and switched off, you set it as level and vertical as you can, at least by eye. Then, when unlocked and switched "on", the laser device inside can swing back and forth, and right and left, until the laser settles on its own point of "plumb". Gravity pulls it perfectly vertical, and the design of the level then indicates both vertical and horizontal lines based on that point of reference. To my eye this laser level is quite accurate once it settles. I recommend it!

My husband loves it!
We currently have several remodeling projects around the house currently in process and planned for the future. The laser level we had is great but didn't have the range distance we needed on occasion. We've used in in tandem with the shorter ranged level and have been very happy with the results. The magnetic and screw mounting options let us use both together in variety of configurations that he has found very beneficial. The green laser light is bright and easily seen and battery life has been great. It's also a different color that the shorter range one so he knows exactly which level lines are for what. Our projects are progressing much more quickly and smoothly since we started including the Firecore. Anything that helps the see the projects to completion and reduce the frustration is a win in my book!

Disappointing
The Firecore-Tools line level would not work. Absolutely nothing worked on it. We will be taking it to UPS this week to return and expect a full credit. It did arrive as promised.

Installed new kitchen cabinets with this
We just finished remodeling our kitchen and this helped to know where the studs were for installing cabinets. I would mark the floor with the stud location and then line up the laser to cast a line on the wall to match that floor mark. Then easy peasy I'd know where to drill and screw to install he upper cabinets. It worked great! Way better than my name brand laser level I bought from the big orange big box store.

Visibility in sunlight is about 15 ft, needs special detector to work at 197 ft
The description states it is visible in sunlight. Yes, it is visible from about 15 ft, not 197 ft as stated in the description, which needs special laser detector.

Good tool for indoor construction
I am always cautious when seeing "professional" claim added to product descriptions. Truly professional tools are sold for much higher prices than any consumer stuff. There is also in-between quality range that may be characterized as "prosumer", aimed at consumers with specific need and limited amount of cash. This laser level device is in my opinion barely fitting the "prosumer" category. It has a sturdy case made of plastic with rubberized side surfaces. It is sitting on a semi-rigid plastic base equipped with strong magnets and a threaded bronze insert for attaching it to a tripod, as well as a thumb screw for pan adjustment. It has a removable battery compartment that houses three AA-size alkaline batteries, and could perhaps be replaced by a lithium battery of equivalent voltage, but this is not mentioned, so probably not. It is able to self-level within a narrowly sufficient range. It also allows self-leveling feature to be locked, for the projected laser beam to be set at a required arbitrary angle. It does not have any tilt adjustment, so tilting can be done reliably and consistently only if your tripod allows for it. I does not have any indication of inclination angle, so again this must be done by another attachment on the tripod. It does not have a distance meter. No digital readout of any kind. One-button operation. The operating temperature range does not look to be any more than "prosumer" type. The "micro-adjustment" thumb screw has quite a bit of dead range where you turn the screw and nothing moves. Also, it is hard to believe that this tool will not lose its calibration if it falls from the tripod or together with it. There is no maximum allowable impact force rating given in specifications section of the manual. Warranty statement reads, "customer is completely responsible for periodically checking the accuracy of the laser, and therefore for the calibration of the tool".So yes, this can be a useful tool, especially for indoor construction projects, and if handled with care. I am going to base my rating of it on its satisfactory covering a need of a regular unprofessional consumer. From that standpoint, it deserves full five stars.

Incredibly easy to use and such a handy item to have in your toolkit for various DIY jobs...
The “Professional Green Cross-line Laser” from “Firecore” is an incredibly helpful tool for plotting a perfectly level line horizontally and/or vertically. In essence what you have here is a laser leveller that draws a perfectly straight line horizontally, vertically, or both (i.e. in a cross) that’s completely level. With this in place you can then ensure that things a level and perfectly in line with each other when doing DIY and other household tasks. For my first trial with the device I attempted to put up a series of three picture frames all along a perfectly straight and level line. For a task like this, the cross-line laser is absolutely perfect. It drew a line across the lounge wall which was perfectly level thanks to the inbuilt self-levelling mode. I then ensured each picture frame was perfectly aligned on the vertical axis, with the cross-line.I then marked up precisely where to put the hooks for hanging the pictures and got drilling. The end result was a perfectly aligned series of three pictures which took next to no time to hang. And that’s essentially what you have with this cross-line laser. A gadget that will seriously save you time doing DIY tasks like this. It’s so easy to use, and easy to set up, that it will no doubt become a regular tool for you to grab and use without a second thought. The quality of the build is also absolutely spot on. It looks and feels well made, with its strong and robust hard-plastic shell. I doubt it will get damaged easily, even if it’s slung within a toolkit and carried around with you, or accidentally dropped from a reasonable height. All in all I’ve been very impressed with the cross-line laser. Such a handy tool to have around the house and for DIY projects. Very highly recommended.

Robust Laser Level
This is a handy device to have for assistance in projects where levelling is required, for example, mounting pictures or wall fixtures. The device requires three AA cells to function that are included. The build is sturdy and rugged but the overall size of the device is very large. I like the option of magnetic mounting and the magnets used are pretty strong. A tripod mount slot is available for use with a tripod. A slot to mount on a screw or nail on a wall is available as well. There is a built-in mechanism provided for the fine adjustment of the level position in the horizontal plane. Operation is simple and just by sliding the switch to the ON position the device goes into self-levelling mode. The laser line can then be projected horizontally, vertically or in a cross-line pattern. The desired projection pattern can be selected by simply pushing the button on the top of the device. For manual levelling, the sliding switch is kept in the off position and the button on the top has to be pressed for three seconds. The color of the projected line is green.I compared it with the Bosch self-levelling laser level that I have and found that the laser projection light intensity of this device is higher. The laser line levelling of this device appears to be accurate and is just like the Bosch ones. The results of the laser projection of the two devices can be seen in the picture I uploaded.Overall this looks to be a solid device that can handle rough environment. A carrying case is also provided for the device storage. The only drawback I see is the relatively large size.

Practical and level headed—+—
For DIY a cross hair laser level is a superb addition to your tool kit. This one has a bright enough green laser that it works along the entire length of my apartment. It's an excellent tool for getting shelves or similar items on the level and unlike a standard spirit level, you can use it to align screws, even on an uneven wall.It comes with only one proper mounting accessory which has a couple of good features. The accessory can be mounted on a standard tripod mount, magnetically attached or hung on a nail or screw. This last feature is great if you need to get good vertical alignment. You make the first hole and put a screw into it. Then hook the laser level onto it and it gives a perfect vertical line from there. It's a pity that it can't align for horizontal lines too. It also has a very useful micro-adjustment wheel. It would have been so much more useful with a clamp mechanism such as those supplied by Bosch and other manufacturers as standard. If it's not at a good angle to function accurately, it flashes its laser cross. When it is within its preferred range, the light is constant, however if you do need to align thinks off vertical or horizontal, for example when installing a stair-rail, it can be locked and the self levelling disabled, so you can set it to whatever suits the situation. The vertical, horizontal and cross modes can be switched on or off as necessary.🔋It runs on 3 AA batteries, which are supplied.
