LOVE these scissors! I needed a very sharp, small pair of scissors to clip loose threads and sloth off of clothing that I sell and repurpose and these have been perfect! They are super sharp should definitely do not let your children use them. My only qualm with these scissors is that they don't come with anything to keep them in or to protect the blades with. I know there was an option to buy caps to put over them but you had to buy 5 or 10 of them and I didn't really want to do that. If they came with any kind of carrying case that's the only thing that could make them better. The design is beautiful and ornate, and they work very well. I'm very pleased!

For the price, I wasn't expecting too much but these are sharp and tight. It's a little small so if you don't have long thin fingers you may not find these as comfortable. Really lucked out and got a great pair of scissors! Highly recommend!

Purchased as a gift for someone who just started embroidery. They are very pretty, nice weight, and good hand fit for cutting threads. Just the tinyest but tight - but I feel they with be just right after some use. The connecting device for the two pieces is a screw - not a rivet - which is good for adjusting. Great value. The scissors arrived on time and with sufficient packaging to prevent damage in shipping. I would definately purchase again.

I really was not expecting for these scissors to be anything special other than their aesthetics, but man they are beautiful and made very well! They are extremely sharp, most probably the sharpest scissor I have ever been in contact with, and the blades are nicely screwed together so there's no gap when cutting. Already looking to stock up on a few more to keep on hand.

I got these for making pom poms... I needed narrow scissors that would fit in the space on the pom pom maker but be sharp enough to cut through multiple layers of yarn all at once, and these were absolutely perfect. They cut like a hot knife through butter. Sharpest scissors I've ever had. And they're pretty too!

NOTE: This is my initial review. A follow-up is further below.I'm impressed! They are stylish and sharp. My favorite (until now???) has been my Gingher limited edition, which is about an inch shorter. I hope this pair will stay as sharp and last as long. Only time and use will tell.The only thing that would have been nice was that they offered a leather sheath, to be sold separately as I'm aware cost dictates this. I would have purchased one with my order. However, I found a sheath from my collection that fits nicely and will protect the tip.FOLLOW-UP: I'm changing my review from 5 stars to 4. No question about it that the handles are beautiful and your eyes go immediately to them, but the scissor's blades aren't finished with the same care. They are sharp, but the outer edges seem like they missed the step of polishing and buffing the metal. It's not made with the same quality of my Gingher.

Great scissors! You have to be careful because it is really sharp! The design it vintage and elegant. Recommend if you are looking for scissors for nails. I’m tired of looking at the nail techs that use the bird shaped one, this is a unique version of it.
