This is a very heavy and thick wooden cutting board. It is very high quality, looks great, and it is very handy to have the textured surface to allow juices to drain away as well as keep items on the cutting board from sliding around.We have been very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.I did want to use it for carving Turkey, but I think it is more appropriate sized for a whole Chicken. I'd happily buy a larger one for whole turkeys though.

Arrived with what looks like mold spots in wood.

I was looking to replace our cutting board that is over ten years old. This cutting board exceeded my expectations. It is beautiful, the wood variations adds a lot of interest. It is heavy, has a flat side and a side to cut meats and other things you want to collect the juices. I like the ridges cut into the wood to hold what you are cutting. This is very much a display piece and would look lovely sitting out. It would make a great gift for almost any adult.

The wood was rough and splintered in spots.
