Good stuff
It is not as good as buying it fresh roasted from back home but it is good. The beş place to find it in the US used to be NY and North Jersey and it was basically the same quality as this one, which makes ithis one an amazing deal ilor find. Especially compared to not having at all, as most US cities and state don’t have it at all. . At the end of the day, It is great to be able to find and buy it and with a decent price. Thank you Amazon and GoNuts for making it possible to buy and delivered like any other item. I am really greatful that I am able to buy it and enjoy it without breaking the bank. Turkish pistachios were and will be an expensive item as it is not grown as much and available like the California ones. By the way I suggest not to compare them as they are the same thing or the same version of nuts. These nuts are smaller in size and have a unique taste that doesn’t even compare to the California ones. Treat it like the pistachio you know but expect a flavor less dominant and more versatile nut and you will enjoy it more.. it is the most especial ingredient for a lot of Turkish desserts. Baklava, Burma and other pastries are the most expensive if they are made with these pistachios. I really don’t like ilti talk about back home because of the commentary that comes with it but I can talk about Şam Fıstığı for hours and enjoy every moment of it. 😊 The bag comes with 20% all closed up shells, and the rest is not guaranteed to be easily opened either. This one is a good deal as far as the price and quality of product goes but not the best off courses you can always find better if you dedicate yourself 😁 It is my lifetime mission to find the best crops of this pistachios. Reason being that not only I love it, I couldn’t afford it growing up. I used to have 100 grams of it as my New Year’s gift from whoever picked me to buy a gift to exchange.

Excellent taste, perfectly salted, fresh, crispy. These are a real find.
Like many of you, I'm a pistachio aficionado, and am always on the lookout for better brands. I came across these and gave them a try. They are by far the best of the Turkish nuts I've found online, and the best I've found, period. They are crispy, perfectly salted, and so tasty. That special Antep flavor is clearly discernible, and they are fresh, and easy to open. Once I start eating a two pound bag, I can't stop till I'm half way through. They are that good. And I don't get sick from them. Others when I stuff myself can make me a little ill at ease, but surprisingly, not these. Even though I eat them till I can't eat any more, and you know what I'm talking about!!!, I don't get that upset stomach or sluggish feeling. That's a sign of real quality. I'd encourage you to give these a try.

>>> A GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT
> The pistachios that I purchased in the Spice Bazaar in Istanbul were fabulous (albeit about $60/pound) --- so, I looked for a source here at home. No luck with these. > Maybe I got a bad bag. But the WeGotNuts pistachios were FAR inferior to ordinary California pistachios. They were small and comparatively tasteless. Most were tight in the shells, suggesting that they were picked when immature. Needed more salt. They were not stale, so I can't blame it on poor storage. > And the kicker is that the WeGotNuts pistachios are 3x or 4x more expensive than far-superior ordinary grocery store California pistachios > UPDATE: I purchased two packages (different brands) of Turkish pistachios in a local Mediterranean grocery, which were nearly identical in appearance as the WeGotNuts pistachios (but a little larger and a little looser in their shells). They were also about 1/2 the price of WeGotNuts pistachios, but not noticeably more flavorful. Perhaps the Turks keep the premium pistachios at home, and export the lower quality pistachios (which is actually quite common with many products). > SECOND UPDATE: Today, in Jan 2024, I purchased some pistachios in a different Eastern Mediterranean grocery, which were much better --- not quite Istanbul Spice Market quality, but better than any others I've bought in the US. Maybe the 2023 crop is in, and it was better than 2022?

Rev.1: A little disappointed in their quality control, and the nut flavor is average
Good everything is all that I can say about these pistachios, and ZERO unopened nuts so far. That's a tough hurdle to jump, along with total freshness, good roast, texture and flavor. I hope that one year from now I'm still one of the regular customers of We Got Nuts. Rev.1 1/17/2025: I'm getting a high percentage of unopened nuts; much higher than prior purchases. The flavor is OK, but it's not great, it's not unique or distinctive. Although over 5% of the nuts are unopened, I found .001% of loose, but edible, kernels which lost their shells - these were picked out by the packer. There are better sources this season. Also, I wonder why, with the recent collapse of the Turkish Lira, the price of these nuts hasn't budged to reflect the devaluation.

I finally found a great turkish nut with great flavor and is easy to ...
After trying Greek & Turkish pistachios some 15 years ago, the US nuts just do not interest me anymore. I finally found a great turkish nut with great flavor and is easy to get. Purchasing through Amazaon has been easy, quick and fast. The bag is full to the brim and arrives in 2 days (I am a prime member). My only criticism is that I would like more salt on them. There are many nuts that do not seem to have any salt. But I still love the flavor... 9/3/17 I purchased them for over a year, but this past year, the quality is not consistent. While all the bags came fresh and salted this past year I have received 4 bags with NO salt and a very bland taste. I received a refund and purchased another bag which was good one time. So then I tried it again... but was again disappointed. I have given up purchasing because they are too expensive to get a bag and be so disappointed. When they are good, you can't stop eating them. When they are bad, the bag lasts forever and gets old. Now I am just very disappointed...
