MAD SHARK Boning Knife for Meat Cutting 6 Inch, Professional Ultra Sharp Butcher, Deboning Knife, for Fish Fillet Bone Cutting

This is at least the 6th Mad Shark product I have purchased through Amazon. While Mad Shark's advertising is "over the top goofy", their products are top quality for the price. I own a full, very expensive, set of German Zwilling J.A. Henckels Solingen kitchen knives - and I'd rate these Mad Shark's just as good quality steel. They come sharp, stay sharp, and are easy to resharpen when needed.

The handle is a little bit slippery but the contouring of it fits my hand perfectly and helps me maintain my grip. But in general you don’t want kitchen knives to slide out of your hand. That’s bad news so I prefer the grippy handles. Still this is a wonderful knife that came out of the box shaving sharp. With a little maintenance after each use it should maintain its razor sharp edge and give you excellent performance. The steel is good and it does not easily corrode. This is become my go to kitchen knife for quick tasks. The blade profile is excellent for doing multiple kinds of tasks around the kitchen such as cutting shallots deboning chicken etc. it’s a great multi-purpose knife.

Sturdy knife, cuts well. Would purchase again

Straight and to the point (pun intended) this is a bare-minimum knife whose primary (sole) selling factor is the easy of cleaning and maintenance. If you're not a foodie or a chef and just want a knife that does the job, this knife will do the job. The blade length and shape are appropriate for the intended tasks (boning, trimming, fillet) and the edge is factory-sharp adequate to these jobs. For the price-point (under $25) it is just fine, and will last longer than a throw-away $6 number from a big-box store--- but it feels cheap to hold and use, and doesn't compare to higher-quality cutlery from reputable brands.

The absolute best knives I have ever had

These knives are so well designed. Comfortable to use, extremely sharp and beautiful to look at. I have ordered more individual and some complete sets. A little pricy but well worth the extra cost. You get what you pay for and in the case that's near perfection.
