Bomberg

I've waited a long time for an affordable book about David Bomberg and luckily this one is an absolute beauty. The biography gives an excellent overview of Bombergs often troubled life but it's the superb reproductions that make this essential for anyone with an interest in his work. The clarity and colour are brilliant throughout, in particular the Spanish landscapes which beautifully show the texture of thick strokes of paint.

I had wanted this for some time but the original price had put me off buying.But since the price dropped I decided to get it and am not disappointed. Well packed and arrived before expected.

A rather limited book- not a good selection of his work- many good works left out and poor paintings included. The text is anecdotal.

Wonderful informative book on a fascinating talented artist.
