Solid, well made knife, very sharp out of the box. 6 1/2” blade is nicely balanced with the attractive wooden handle. Blade is quite thick by design, facilitating cutting through fish backbones or hard squash. Good value, would purchase again.

A very fine knife. I wanted a single edge blade--this is sharpened on the right side as you hold the knife. Good handle. Cuts nicely. made in China.

generally it is a good one, weight is good,appearance is nice, but it is not a good idea for the designer to use this kind of wood as handle, it has very much rough surface, although it does not affect doing job, it obsorbs water, oil very much easily, after cleaning it become pale,looks ugly. I would rather prefer it is made of nice surface wood or even plastic. blade is very sharp as a standard japanese knife, I love it very much ,but I have to say it is not user friendly to the ones who has less time in kitchen. befor buying that just remeber its japanese property, if you are new, pls get a comman german style one instead of this.
