Great pens!
Great pens that can draw/mark up on coated lenses whereby other inks would bead off! Great pens!

Best for plant labels
Have used these for some years for plant labelling and they are the most light fast.

They arrived dried out.
I've tried to use them for the first time today and they already don't work. Highly disappointed and will not be ordering from here again.

Wouldn’t recommend
The pens do write nicely, but first of all not sure if the ones I received were new - they were packed separately in a brown envelope. Secondly they lasted less than a week in total with very minimal use!On a separate note - bought these for use in cell culture labs thinking they’d withstand 70% IPA, but they’re worse than sharpies!Overall disappointed

I thought Sharpie was the best but depending on what you are wrighting o this beats the Sharpie!

Fine Lines
Never doubted the STAEDTLER brand. The tip may look hard but surface friction when writing feels like a cross between plastic and felt tip. As indicated, the tip is .6mm. Markings are thinner than a .5mm ball point gel pen. Thanks to the ink technology, it dries quick with no micro smudging. So don’t be apprehensive with the tip size, it’s good enough. Not unless you’re scrupulous enough that you’d need a .3-.4mm but that’s rare to find with this pen.

Sharp, dark line on a contact lens
My doctor used one of these to make orientation marks on rigid gas permeable overnight contact lenses (ortho-K.) The marks last about two months with daily soaking in peroxide contact cleaner. Rather than return to the office every two months I got my own pens. Since I use them on contact lenses, I do not ever use them on anything else. They are perfect for my very specific off label use

Great for marking dots on glasses!
I needed to send my glasses to the on-line lens store I was using and one of the directions was to look in mirror with glasses on and place a dot where the center of pupil was located. I tried several markers both permanent & washable, different sizes of the point and none would make a mark where I was trying to place it. I did some searching and found the markers as being used by professionals in the eye glasses business so decided to purchase. So glad I did as they did the job first try!
