Misleading description
The product is described as 'Local Honey Man British/UK Raw Local Unpasteurised Golden Honey, 454g (1lb) Glass Jar'., however, the actual size delivered is only 340g. I ordered 8 jars therefore I was short changed by 912gSecondly, the price of this honey has increase 25% this year. That may be because of the prolonged dry summer we had in 2018. If this is the case then I feel the producer should be absorbing some of this increase himself and not pushing it all onto the customer. From now on I'll be looking elsewhere for the honey

Very good honey. Uncapped comb, centrifuged, filtered and bottled. No interfering.
This is a very good mixed flower honey, granulated now but still buttery soft. London and the South East arguably produces some of the finest English honey - the bees are able to get much more varied forage for longer periods of the year - all those trees and gardens!People think of the English countryside as being the holy grail of honey production, but believe me, honey bees in rural areas are often hard pressed get enough stores for themselves, let alone any excess to take off, and the Greater London area bees can have a much easier time. This honey is good - I can taste Horse Chestnut, Clover, Orchard tree blossom - apple and definitely pear.. and flower nectar from plants growing in acid based soils - heather in particular with its warmth, and blueberry fruitiness.Really nice, and this is honey that hasn't been messed about with. Simply uncapped comb, centrifuged, filtered and bottled. Just how I like it.

Taste has gone downhill.
I have purchased this honey a few times. I'm not a huge honey fan but bought it more for medicinal reasons, but I loved this one and have eaten it by the spoonful straight out of the jar. My daughter kindly bought me a jar as an "extra" present for my birthday last month. However the taste and texture is totalky different and really not very pleasant. I will not be buying it again unfortunately, especially as the price has gone up. I'm so disappointed. I know honey changes depending on the flowers the bee's go to but this last jar tasted very "eggy", not nice at all.

Very tasty honey
I am now pretty much an experienced honey consumer when it comes to raw honey, I have honey every day on crumpets and never get bored of it. Ever since I first tasted raw, "non-supermarket" honey, I can differentiate very well and confirm that raw honey is in a completely different league when it comes to taste and apparently health benefits ( I shake colds faster than before I had raw honey daily). I am regularly ordering from another beekeeper too and also buy this LHM honey. All non-blended honey has a different taste depending on season and location etc. so it's nice to have different batches at home if you have honey every day. This LHM honey is one of the tastiest honey I ever tried, and you get what you pay for, it is worth buying this. If you like honey, go ahead and try this, you won't be disappointed.

Not as described
After showing it to a bee keeper friend, his opinion is that its been blended so not as described, raw. The way to test this is to put the jar in warm water and the honey once liquefied should turn a golden colour. This honey remains solid.I have never paid so much for a jar of honey. The seller should be ashamed of himself thinking its alright to rip people off

When honey is honey
I'm diabetic and I love honey, but I rarely think of eating it because any increase in my blood sugar will make me feel dizzy, tired and very uncomfortable. However, I can't resist raw and pure honey. When good luck drove me to Amazon and after reading all the positive reviews, I've decided to give it a try. I told myself that I won't have more than one teaspoon as my daily portion, but instead of one I now have three spoons a day. Why? Because it has a great taste and because I didn't have any of those ugly feelings when my blood sugar goes up. I highly recommend it.

I don't like honey but...
I hate honey. Always have. But I always have a jar (supermarket) in the cupboard for honey and lemon drinks when someone has a cold/sore throat etc. That's the only way I can take honey.I bought this (Borage) yesterday as I currently have tonsillitis and I'm desperate to try anything to ease it. I forced myself to have a spoonful straight from the jar...and its actually delicious! So I had another, and another.I can't say its cured me yet, but I'm looking forward to having some slathered over hot toast when I am better, that's if there's any left.

Poor taste due to Crystal thick honey.
The last one of these I bought on Amazon had crystallised and gone hard. Given I am a long term fan of the Local Honey Man I thought I would give Amazon the benefit of the doubt and purchase again. Sadly as before the honey arrived already hard and full of crystals. It used to arrive clear and smooth but this stays crystal until it melts apart on the porridge but sadly the condition means it is simply not tasty to much on thick crystal full honey. I may try the Borage again because although it’s thick, it had not crystallised.
