Exactly what I needed.
The fit was perfect, great quality and it definitely helped the functionality It is a bit difficult to get on, but you want that snug fit so that it will work properly. My mother was very appreciative to have her wheelchair working again. Thank you for your thorough description of the product.

Hard to install, but worth the effort.
These are an exact fit with lots of effort to put them on. I tried installing these straight out of the box. Forget it. It is almost impossible to put these tires on if you don't boil them first. Put them in a pot, weight them down, and remove them after about 10 minutes. They will be hot, but they cool off fast enough that you can handle them and stay hot enough they can stretch over the wheels. My hands have gotten weaker over the years, so it was hard to get the tires to seat. I took a rubber mallet and beat them into submission :) until they seated. That was easier than manipulating them by hand. I just hit the edge of the tire until it popped into place. These are definitely worth the price and effort.

Very hard to do!
So difficult to put on! I couldn’t do it. I watched the product video on Amazon multiple times. The video made it look easy. It definitely was not. I heated them as suggested but it didn’t matter. Maybe my water wasn’t hot enough. I gave up and gave the wheelchair away. Got to buy a new one.

Good fit + hard to install
Good fit but difficult to install. The tire has to be stretched about 4 inches. I did it by using 3 sticks and 3 cords using the stick-twist method. 1"x1"x16" sticks. Two 2' cords and one 3' cord. Lay the folded wheelchair on its side. Put the first tire over the wheel so the tire is laying on the wheelchair. After raising one side of the tire up, install it on the rim as far as it goes, held with the zips. Start first with the short cords where the stretching needs to begin. The long cord goes at the apex of the stretch. The cords go through the tire and around the hoop of the rim. Begin twisting the boards in the short cords then move to the apex. To cycle through twisting the boards, put the bottom end of the board through the spokes of the bottom wheel. You will have to use the pry tool. I used channel locks for the last little twist of the tire.

Hard work but well worth it
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great price compared to buying a completely new wheel set. Great quality once installed-soaked in very hot water for ten minutes then while attaching the product also used a hot air hair dryer to keep it flexible. Strength is needed as well as more ties and another person assisting is a good idea. Used on a adult sized drive wheelchair whose tires simply rotted off. You also must remove all of the old tire which is in the groove or there will not be any space for the new tire to fit. I also had to remove the outer silver hand turning wheel since it was in the way and put it back later.

Perfect fit.
These were a perfect fit for my mother in law’s Carex wheelchair. The wheels measure 23.25 inches and with the tire installed 24 inch’s combined.Installation was easy. Unlike so many reviews I had no issues putting these tires on the wheel.I took the wheels off of the chair. I put the tires in my sink and then poured two big pots of boiling water over the tires. They were rolled up and weighted down to keep them submerged. I let them soak for 30 minutes. They were a tight fit but using the zip ties and installation tool provided it was not difficult at all. I got the tire started in the groove and put one zip tie on tight and then just started massaging the tire into the wheel groove a few inches at a time using my left hand while following up with my right hand tightly holding the tire in place. About half way around I put on a second tie. I kept massaging the tire around until I could no longer get the tire over the rim by hand and then started using the installation tool about every four to six inches pulling the tire up and over the rim and then holding it in place tightly with my right hand. About two thirds the way through I put on a third tie. After that it just took a few more times of prying the tire over the rim and keeping it in place with my right hand and it was on.The first one took maybe five minutes at the longest due to the learning curve and only two minutes for the second one. I used three zip ties per wheel.I doubt that I’ll ever need to replace these tires but if I ever do I wouldn’t hesitate to buy these again.

Tight fit. Good product
While they were not easy to put on, the quality is good and I’m very thankful for the tool that was available. I did put mine in hot water for 19 minutes. I would buy again, but I’m not looking forward to it 😆
