Great meat cleaver and chopping is a breeze. Great quality in its design and composition. It is heavy so be careful when handling but the weight really helps it chopping capability. Sticks well to a magnetic knife holder which I use.

Feels Solid, it has some nice weight to it, it also has a beautiful design that stands out from the other knives, and is sharp very sharp in fact. The cleaver was able to handle chicken bones, but not beef ribs. The cleaver chipped in the middle of the blade. See attached image. I would only recommend this cleaver if you plan on mounting on the wall as art. I'm going to shop my local Asian market for a more durable cleaver.Note: Although the period for a refund had lapsed with Amazon, the manufacturer contacted me concerning a replacement or a refund for this cleaver. I bought my husband two knives for Christmas. This was one of them and he loves it. He loves to cook and he said this was cleaving through meat and Bone really well. It also has this neat feature. He discovered where you can pull the herbs through those holes and get rid of the stems and portions you don't want by the pull through. But it's a good quality item at a reasonable price

I love these knives so much that everybody in the family got a set of two types for Christmas! And they are so affordable. They look large and heavy, but they are a wonderful weight and not too unwieldy due to the very specific design and carefully weighted metal.
