The flexible arms are perfect for anything I need. I bought it initially for crochet but it makes a great book light and I've also brought it to arena size concerts just for navigating dimly lit or crowded areas. It's flexibility means it works well around the neck or just standing up or propped up on something. Genuinely a great buy. This is truly a wonderful light to have. I don't use it for reading exactly, thou I am sure it is great for that. I use it for working backstage and not losing my "night vision", while getting sets changed, costumes ready, and finding props. The ability to have cool or warm colors and to change the brightness is great. So easy to use and charge, it is perfect for my non traditional use.
