A robust precision wheel alignment frame to add wheel alignment assesories to.
As my title indicates, this is a very robust and precision wheel mounted alignment tool frame and it's also versatile. From what I've dug up, these are used with a commercial laser wheel alignment system. That's why they have so many extra unknown elements to them. They were designed to work with reflector targets, etc. You can see some faccets/fixtures on them that have nothing to do with magnetic spirit level camber use. Many of the accessory components for these aren't offered here on Amazon.Anyhow, they come with two styles of rim seat posts to properly seat to most wheel types. The posts can be flipped around in the hole for the other profile use. They can be held on by simple bungee straps if needed when used against the inside of the wheel rim lip for some wheels. No bungee needed if mounted outside the wheel rim lip as they litterly hug the wheel rim lip. It all depends on your wheel type and the method you use or works for your wheels. I've shown both methods in my photos.They can be installed concentric to wheel hub with the perpendicular assesory hole centered on hub or they can be mounted offset by placing the seat pins more outward on top and more inward at the bottom, etc. This is useful if mounting a standard toe alignment plate at the bottom of the alighnment frames allowing you to reach out further to the bottom of the tires. You can see an example using 24" of tape measure located around the two potential mount positions for a toe plate. I'll provide pictures of such an accessory mount later.They're very precise and provide multiple parallel and perpendicular planes to the wheels rim once installed. Any one of these potential accessory mounting positions could be used for other assesories such as a toe alignment set as mentioned above or lasers and targets, etc. You may have to be a bit creative to fix your chosen assesories to the frame, but once connected, you've a solid frame of reference to take your needed measurements.I picked up a second one for a pair of these after buying the first one just for camber. Then I decided I could easily mount a standard disc mount toe kit to these and skip having to remove the wheels to do a precision toe alignment. These are great frames to work with and shouldn't be limited to just camber alignments. Get creative with them is my recommendation, adapters can be made for them for the many existing alignment tools out there.I highly recomend these over other any other wheel mounted alignment frames. Take a real close look at them, there's a lot of connection points on them.Check out the rim seating posts, they can be turned around for the modified profile on the opposite end.Someone mentioned in a review here for them, that a pair of the spirit levels weren't providing the same reading when side by side on the steel disc... That's because you need to calibrate them using the back thumb screw. Place them against a plumb builders level and calibrate them accordingly and then they can be placed on the camber mount disc and provide a calibrated reading. Also, the center screw on the mounting disc may need to be tightened down so it doesn't generate hump in the middle of the plate. The spirit camber levels don't come calibrated out the box and wouldn't stay calibrated if they did. LOL. Learn to use the tools you get, properly.So, calibrate your camber levels using a builders level. You can find videos on You tube on the topic.I'll post photos of the toe alignment kit I add to mine after I put it together.Hope this helps.

Buy a good camber caster gauge. To go with tool.
If your looking for a instruction book. It will not be there. The tool is great. The level is inadequate. It will need a replacement.

Works good, seems accurate.
I updated the suspension on my 65 Chevy (RideTech front and rear). I used this to dial in the alignment, easy to use and worked well. I have read some reviews that state this scratched their wheels, never had the issue and think as long as you are careful when clamping onto the outside of the wheel there should not be an issue.

Alignment mounting rack
Made well and has mounted easily to several of my vehicles. I did purchase a separate digital camber angle gauge which I think think is maybe more accurate than guessing at a reading of the bubble on the gauge that came with this. Overall I’m very happy with the mounting system.

Checks camber
It worked on my steel wheels. It only shows camber, not caster (unless I don’t know how to use it correctly?). Alignment shops wouldn’t check my alignment as the frame has been modified.

Exactly what I needed
These things are very high quality and worked amazing for my at-home alignment. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair.The only snag I had is, the little plate in the center that you attach the camber gauge to became sightly loose without me knowing and was showing inaccurate camber readings. After tightening the single Phillips screw, the readings were perfect. I highly recommend this tool.
