They are comfortable and don't slip.

I started karate as an adult and sparring was difficult for me. I was afraid of hurting myself or someone else. I started with different feet protection and none for my shins.These are significantly better. They stay in place and don't slip on thr top of my feet. The bottom of the feet have cotton elastic that goes over individual toes. They cover my feet and don't rub blisters anywhere. The feet and shins Velcro at the ankle so you can separate them if you prefer. They distribute the blue evenly so I'm not worried about anytime getting hurt with a kick or block. I would recommend to anyone. Especially if you are apprehensive about sparring.
