This is OK as an overview and introduction.  But, the illustration given is for the larger format volumes and this isn't one, note the dimensions given.  The other books in this series, 2003 editions, "Creative Recorting, Parts 2 & 3", are the larger format - 21.6 x 27.6 cm, while this 2003 edition is 17.8 x 22.9 cm - similar to the 1993 edition of Part 2 (see below). AND ~ it comes with a solid yellow cover with the print for the title and author in black and white, including a small illustration of play buttons ~ > || |< >| [] 0Paul White's books are a good starting point for anyone wanting an easy introduction to the topic. This book is primarily for people who don't know much at all about recording processors, but truth is, you'll learn more buying relevant magazines. I bought this and the advanced book and it was much the same stuff expanded upon. Not enough practical setups and exercises to be of much value to a real recording musician, more a basic reference for those wanting to understand how processors are used in recording.
