I chose this one in particular because it is all metal and I think it will last a long long time. I did try it out before mounting and it worked well. Some bottles are so hard to open and I have small hands so this will be a great help for me. On smaller caps I was using interlocking pliers and that worked but this is much more convenient. I think it is an excellant quality and value. It can accommodate many sizes of caps. Installation is easy with the included screws. It will be very useful for me.

We’re very impressed with Goldtree’s jar opener. A week before ordering this, I had broken my previous plastic handheld bottle opener right in half. Searching for something that everyone in the family could easily use, I happened upon this. The quality is unbelievable- it is heavy duty, sturdy metal construction. For the price, it is amazing to find something constructed this well: I feel like it’s a steal, and the high reviews this had received are well-deserved. The design is simple yet brilliant- the teeth only grip in one direction, so there is never a question of which way to turn the jar: it is either turning easily or it’s gripping and your jar is open. Given the heavy-duty construction, I have no doubt that this will last. Installation is easy either way only a Phillips head screwdriver needed. I used the three adhesive pads it came with to temporarily mount the jar opener under one of my cupboards, and then I used the three screws it came with to do the permanent mounting. We’ve already used this for everything from difficult to open jars to the plastic ice cream pints that are impossible to open out of the freezer. It handles all of the large and small jars we have thrown at it with ease.

The can opener was easy to install and is strongly mounted. Each jar we tested or tried for the first time opened easily. My wife can use two hands if she has to and the jars open with ease. I wish we had this a long time ago.

Simple item that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Not sure what the cushions were for so I put them in locations next to the holes on the cabinet contract side before screwing it in so it can add a little extra tension.

Simple to use and effective. Well-made. However, because it's under-the-cabinet you can't see it; at least where I installed it. The resulting inability to use normal eye-hand coordination causes me problems. (Not to mention that I'm never sure which way to turn the jar!) Both of those issues may be unique to me, or perhaps I'll get used to it in time.

This was very easy to install. I was able to do it by myself, but it would have been a bit easier to have someone else hold it in place while I drilled in the screws. I was able to install under my cabinet with the included screws with no issue. This product has been very helpful when my hands are tired or feeling weak. I use it for both metal and plastic lids, but the plastic can get scratched by the tools grip design.

Works perfect on those jars that just don't want to open. Weez old people so very handy and easy to install under a cabinet.
