A little goes a long way, so it's worth the price in my opinion. It's very thick and does its job well, and I use it on my face with no problem, though not every day. It'll give your skin a healthy glow without looking or feeling oily. **Q: How does this compare to embryolisse lait cream?** A: the skin food is much thicker and more emollient. the lait cream dries semi-matte for my skin, but skin food will leave an oil-based sheen. I use skin food at night and lait cream for day and it works out well. **Q: Does the cream have an offensive odor?** A: I'm not a sensitive fragrance person and can tolerate a lot, but this has such a strong odor I could not make it to a second application. The fragrance is so overwhelming it smelled like Lestoil house cleaner. I heard great things about Weleda and had high hopes for this skin cream and was disappointed. I have to admit I'd never heard of the Weleda brand before, but I purchased this and some Weleda lip balm as part of the promotion and really like both products!The cream is very thick, and it has a light, fresh scent. The scent fades relatively quickly, so the cream can easily be used by men if they're worried about a smelly/girly hand lotion. Ironically, I offered this to my friend and her husband during a recent trip, and her husband was the first one to comment about how much he liked the scent. The cream absorbs relatively quickly, but if you're the type to keep hand lotion at your desk and you work on a computer all day, I would recommend giving a few minutes for it to fully absorb before typing again. It's initially a little greasy/tacky, but after 5 or so minutes that goes away. Just a word of caution, as I personally can't stand when I put on hand lotion and then grease up my laptop, phone, etc.This is labeled as body cream, but I feel it's more appropriate for hands, or possibly elbows, knees, heels, etc. that get dry/cracked more than other parts of the body. I wouldn't necessarily see myself slathering this all over, mainly because it's very thick and would be a bit harder to apply.
