I needed to get a new vase because I BROKE the last glass one. And the glass one before that. There is a pattern of breaking or chipping with glass or ceramic in my active household. I kept wondering why no one made a more durable, yet equally attractive vase? Perhaps because they wanted me buying new ones all the time (Thanks to Ralph Nader for that one!)Enter this really modern, gorgeous golden vase that is made out of, (wait for it), metal! Yay! It looks awesome, and I can't break it! The cats can't break it. The kids can't break it. (I've discovered that there are a lot of things that break glass!) Thank goodness we don't have earthquakes like in California or I might have even more broken glass!I like modern. I like shiny. I like classy. I’ve found that I like expensive too. (But I don't want to pay for expensive of course!) This vase is all of the above but not expensive.What do I like about it other than the looks, and durability? I will use this vase for a dry arrangement of grasses and flowers. I discovered something about glass…clear glass is clear! You can see through it! (Go think!) And that means, you can see the stems of whatever is in the vase. You can see the rocks or foam or whatever you used to secure whatever is inside. You can see NOTHING through this vase – a huge plus for me.Normally when I get something new, I assess it’s “gift ability”…can I give it as a gift? Is it something that people would like? A bottle of castor oil I found is not a great gift. Would this be a good gift? Oh yeah! Will I give this as a gift. No way! It is mine! I like it too much to give it away, but, in fairness, it definitely would make a great gift. Ask yourself, if you got a futuristic gold modern vase, would you be able to find a use for it? Perhaps a table centerpiece? A coffee table arrangement? A corner in the living room with tall Pampas grass? This is one of those gifts that will be used and be visible wherever it is placed. The truth is, everyone needs a vase sometime or other, and this will last because it’s made of metal! (It was worth repeating!)I don’t know how well this vase will work with live flowers in water, or a plant in dirt and water. I wouldn’t think to put water and metal together, but I suspect it works like any other vase? Dry for me though.I have only positive feelings about this vase. I like it. I am using it. I would definitely buy as a birthday or holiday gift for a friend, or perhaps as a housewarming gift in lieu of wine or chocolate. I’m thinking there may be some holidays coming up for which this would be a great gift. Just sayin’!

This beautiful classy simple lightweight gold vase was much bigger than I expected from the ad photo, which makes it great for a standard bouquet size. Here is a photo of the vase on Valentine's Day. Looked lovely! Was so happy to have it. Flowers lasted normal expected amount of time in it. Thanks.

This gold metal vase fits perfectly with my decor! Its sleek and modern design adds a touch of elegance to my space. This vase is versatile and looks charming when filled with flowers or standing elegantly on its own. Though I prefer it on its own. The metallic finish adds just the right hint of glamour, making it a standout piece on my mantle or as a centerpiece on my dining table.

It is not sturdy is my biggest issue. I put fake flowers into it and it hardly stays up becuase it is so thin and light. Very pretty though and great size and bright gold color.

I've been on this gold, brass, and copper kick for a while, and just want to decorate everything like I'm captain Nemo on the Nautilus. That said, I saw this gold color vase and knew it would fit my asthetic to a T. I'm so pleased. It's super heavy (I think it's aluminum, but it feels solidly heavy), and the metal looks like it's good quality. I put fancy felt flowers in it, so I haven't had water in it like a regular vase, but I don't see why that wouldn't work. There are matching vases in different sizes with similar designs, and I'm seriously considering buying them all.This vase is a good size, perfect for flowers, and the outside is shiny and brushed finish. Just like the picture shows, the inside has a brushed finish. Another bonus of this vase is that because it's metal, if you drop it, it won't shatter into a million pieces (I have broken so many glass vases when I slipped as I was washing them clean). Love this vase so much!
