Review: Took some getting used to but works fine. - I bought two of these to use after hip surgery when I was trying to move around. Ice packs are great for when you're stationary but not for you're moving, and the postop instructions were quite insistent about the need to keep moving (however difficult and painful it might be). So for me, these were important. I did have some trouble getting them to stay in place at first but I think that was just me. I did spend some time wrestling with the Velcro, which likes to stick to stuff you don't want it to stick to, but I'm not going to take off stars for what is a general problem with Velcro. I think these are pretty much a necessity after hip surgery. They came in handy in the early days. I don't need them now but I am glad I had them when I did need them.

I bought two of these to use after hip surgery when I was trying to move around. So for me, these were important. I did have some trouble getting them to stay in place at first but I think that was just me. I did spend some time wrestling with the Velcro, which likes to stick to stuff you don't want it to stick to, but I'm not going to take off stars for what is a general problem with Velcro. I think these are pretty much a necessity after hip surgery. They came in handy in the early days. I don't need them now but I am glad I had them when I did need them.
