OK, I bought this for quirky projects and I am pleased to happy snicker level. They sent it rolled in a triangle shipping box, so they didn't fold the thing which pleased me. This thing has texture! yes, and when you flex it, it's like scales rising, part of this illusion is enhanced by the clever printing that matches the texture, there's dark like the bottom of the scales that becomes more evident when you flex it. There are a variety of scales in the pattern, ranging from the broader, wide ones, toward the smaller ones, like a real reptile. It flexes and rises in one direction, top to bottom. The material is decent, I started stretching on one corner, not putting everything in it, but not going easy, and it went back to it's shape, the corner cut not distorted so the material held it's form. A person can do many thing with this material.

I bought this for my daughter who wanted to use it to cover a large sketchbook to make it look like a "spellbook". It worked perfectly. Although it is thick, it was very pliable and easily worked around the corners of the book. We have a bunch left for other projects too.
