Best pans I have had in the last thirty years
I have been using these pans for a while now, and they look like new. I am so pleased with them. They are well made and strong. I like the side handles easyer on the wrist. The measurements inside are useful. I can't think of any criticism.

So much polishing grease remaining, otherwise amazing pots for good price
While these are very good quality pots (I was surprised with the high quality of the finish, since I was comparing this with the slightly more expensive "Passion" line with mirror polishing), there are so much grease from the manufacturing process and took quite some effort to clean them off. They did clean most of them off on the food touching side, but there are so much left on the outside, especially under the rims and on the handle connecting parts. It is unfortunately a usual practice in this price range to never perfectly clean out the grease before they ship it out (let's face it, I got it on literally IKEA price range; it was a bargain); but it was a bit more than I'd expected. While they do mention in the manual that you have to clean it with hot water and soap before using, but unfortunately these don't easily come off with soap/detergent that easily. The only food-safe way to clean these out is using a lot of cooking oil soaked in paper towels and rubbing every nooks and crannies thoroughly; you will be surprised with the amount of black grime you can clean out. This is most likely the reason for some of the reviews that mention staining/rusting/metallic smell. Once the grease are all cleaned out, there shouldn't be any problem. I live in very hard water area and they came out from the dishwasher perfect and shining (after the initial oil cleaning). Also, these don't mention where they are made from. I do know from experience that more expensive, German made Zwillings have 'made-in-Germany' markings everywhere, so these are definitely not made in Germany, or even Europe; probably made in China or other third world country. However honestly that is expected in this price range, and at least the material and quality control is top notch (beside the remaining grease). As one of the reviews mention, the largest pot is only 5 L, with some tight margins for another liter, maybe. I did know this before purchasing by checking the official Zwilling website so it wasn't a issue for me, but Amazon does need to update the description. So, if you can get in low prices, don't hesitate and get it, but expect to do some oil cleaning once you get it.

I haven’t used these, they are a gift to family friends. But seem great and of good quality. Most likely made in China, it is hard to come by any cookware made in Europe these days. I also purchased the shelves (in black) for the pots from Amazon. The frying pans were not included in the purchase, neither were the black pots on each side of the picture.

Merci infiniment

I became interested in this set after discussing the Twin Classic line with several Scandinavian chefs and restaurant suppliers. I hesitated at first because of the negative reviews on Amazon DE, but my curiosity won. Having used them extensively, I give them top marks. I've run comparative tests with similar professional pots from WMF (Profima, Gourmet Plus), Fissler (Profi), and Demeyere (Atlantis), and these Twin Classics are outstanding value for money. Like some other reviewers, I get small white spots when boiling water on high induction settings. When doing identical boiling tests (same amounts of water, starting temperatures, and induction unit), my Fisslers develop the same spots. The WMFs and Demeyeres do not--they have more even and dispersed heating patterns (smaller bubble formation throughout the boiling process). Comparatively, the Zwilling and Fissler pots develop larger, more distinct bubbles over high heat (especially just before hitting the full boiling point), and these in turn result in the calcified white spots. I've found that the spots easily disappear with a little vinegar. All four brands do fine in the dishwasher. With a rinsing aid in the dishwasher, my Zwillings have a beautiful satin lustre. The Zwillings are slightly lighter than the others, but I'm finding this to be a good thing given that they can do the same heavy-duty cooking jobs. I also haven't had any problems with warping, and the stay-cool handles work as well as the others--getting a bit warm at times but rarely too hot to handle. The Zwilling finish is the nicest in my opinion...very pleasant to touch and work with. Despite being quite tough, they feel smoother than the others, and I quite like their rounded lines and shapes. They are simultaneously lovely and strong. I understand that these are not manufactured in Germany, but the welding is mostly top notch. The small saucepan has a couple of inelegant welding points where the long handle joins the holding bracket, but they in no way affect the strength of the weld. The handle welds on the rest of the line are good. I would say that the Demeyere and Fissler pots have the best joins (no welding marks at all), while the WMFs and Zwillings are tied. I also prefer the feel of the long Zwilling saucepan handle over the others. It's just the right width, whereas the Fissler and Demeyere handles are a bit too thin for my hands, especially if I have to hold the saucepans for several minutes. They aren't perfect for everything, but none of these lines are. If you want the best heat distribution, flattest foundations, and most non-stick stainless steel, go for Demeyere. These are also the most expensive (by far). For sheer ruggedness relative to weight, Fissler wins (the choice of the Swedish national cooking team). The WMFs are great all-rounders but rather plain. If you want something to make you smile, give these Zwillings a try. I rarely write such reviews, but I thought I should say something given how happy I am with them relative to the previous negative reviews. Perhaps I was lucky and received a particularly good set...I don't know. But I would certainly buy them again.
