Looks good and is surprisingly bright
I wanted to buy a solar powered light for our garage, which has no mains supply, and this looked to be perfect for my needs. It's smaller than you expect, the shade being about 15cm across, and the instructions are pretty minimal, but mounting screws and plugs for the lamp and also for the solar panel - which has a long, 2 metre or so cable - are included. Operation is simple - just pull the chain and the lamp comes on, then pull it again and it turns off. The light is surprisingly bright too, and although I've got this at one end of my garage the light reaches the other end, albeit understandably not as bright. At the end where the lamp is it is certainly bright enough to allow me to find things on my shelves. Should you need to replace the battery, it is found inside the solar panel. Remove eight screws and you'll find it's a rechargeable AA battery. According to the instructions you should allow the battery to charge in daylight for a couple of days before you try to use the light. On the back of the panel is a sliding on-off switch, covered by a rubber bubble to protect it from the elements. Leave it in the off position during the initial charge, and then when you're ready to use the light switch it to on and you're good to go.All in all it's a nice looking light, and bright enough for my needs. Really pleased with this item. One more thing: Absolutely fantastic after sales support from Festive Lights. My initial review mentioned a couple of quirks, and they responded immediately and sent me a replacement item without hesitation which fixed everything. Thank you to Sean at Festive Lights for your help.

Amazing
Amazing. Quick and easy to fit. Plenty of cable meant it was easy to positon the solar panel for maximum exposure. Witihn 24 hours it was up and running, providing enough light in the shed for pottering around after dark. It is neat and tidy and the remote control is a bonus. Excellent value.

Great little lamp, well worth the money.
Brilliant little light, dead easy to install. This is the 2nd one of these I've bought. The first one was fitted in my workshop as a back up light for mains light .This one I've put in my summerhouse.,with the ceiling painted white it's amazing how much light this little lamp throws out,an excellent buy.

Works well in bright sunlight. However, the solar ...
Works well in bright sunlight. However, the solar panel isn't really big enough to charge the battery during cloudy weather. I'm getting less than a minute's daily use in winter.

Most splendid
Very happy with my Solar festive light (although I expect to be happier around the festive period) it lights up a dark space when you need it too, not like a person who lights up your life but an actual light!! You heard me kids itβs a light powered by what is the biggest light in our solar system The Sun!!! Oh and the pull cord is awesome. Thank you bye π€π»

Works a treat if you just need a solar light for short use.
The remote is handy as you then don't have to physically find the pull chain in the dark. It gives ample light in my 7ft x 6ft large duck house to allow me to feed and water at night, but remember that this isn't meant as a permanent source of light and will drain quickly if you left it on for a longer period on a dull day.Just remember to site the solar panel where it will get the maximum exposure to the sun as on dull days it will not charge much if at all. A good length if cable is supplied. If you just need something to give you adequate light for a quick visit to a garden shed etc, then it is ideal, if you want something to work under formaybe 15 minutes or more, it probably wouldn't be any use to you. At the end of the day it simply depends on how much sun the sensor gets, as tohow much energy your light will have to power it.I don't know how long it would take to run it down and recharge it fully as I have never let it get that low. The solar sensor has been out in torrentialdownpours and frosts to -7.5c degrees and the indoor light has continued to work perfectly.Works a treat if you just need a solar light for short use.
