Works perfect!
I love how this steams veggies. I read how to use it before I bought it which is good because there are no instructions that come with it. Also make sure you measure the pan you’re going to steam it in because my large pans weren’t large enough, but it does fit perfectly on top of the pan. I would recommend this for steaming vegetables.

Got burnt after 3-4 times of use.
I don’t have a pan that fits perfectly underneath and it is quite difficult to get the steam up into the different parts with parchment so I did crank up the heat which caused the char on the bottom and sides. (Not pictured). Picture is of a fresh Samoan coconut manapua that I steamed inside one of the steamer baskets.

I love this steamer
I always wondered about this old Asian Steamer and finally purchased one. I love steaming my fish in this wonderful Asian steamer. It steams the fish perfectly and so easy to use. Just lay in a pot of boiling water, lay fish on a heat resistant plate on top of steamer, put cover on and steam. I recommend this ancient Asian Steamer. Try it. You’ll love it!!

Great steamer for the price, will last if taken care of prpoerly
This is a great steamer for the price and it will last a very long time if properly cared for. Well made steamer and this one as most others are hand made so no two are exactly alike. Thick walls and tray bottoms. I use steamer papers to line the bottoms Air fryer papers work well as they are perforated and are less expensive than steamer papers and they make cleanup much easier. After every use of the steamer, clean it. Rinse it out and dry it completely to avoid mold. I turn my oven on to 200 degrees for about 5 minuets, shut it off and then place steamer into oven (pieces separated) until the oven becomes cool. No mold should grow.
