Great hat,just what I wanted

I've recently started adding to my hat collection with lots of different flat caps. This brand is far and away the best quality of these hats that I have found and I now have three from G&G. The first is still going strong from awhile back with no issues. I bought another recently that will have to go back because although I have a huge head and always struggle to get hats big enough this G&G hat was much bigger than the other two and also has a panel cut too large which causing a permanent fold and the stitching of the front panel is curved and off centre.Back to this hat:It fits perfectly looks really good didn't get massively crushed in the post but does have some creases at the back from transit that are very offputting. If they were at the front where I'd regulalrly see them I'd be sending it back. Hopefully with continued wear and the heat from my head these creases will eventually go. Spraying starch and ironing ruined one of my earlier hats.In summary 3 purchases of the same style resulted in 2 very good hats and one to be returned that I am confident will result in a good replacement. I love the light grey colour of this one and it appears to be less itchy than my first one. It's higher in price than the others I've bought but it's better quality too. I'll be checking the G&G listings first for my next few hats before trying elsewhere.

I like newsboy/bakerboy caps. Yeah, yeah peaky blinders, Tommy & Arthur, blah blah, ya di ya.I have some reasonably posh versions of this - Dent's Abraham Moon & Schöffel, both of which cost considerably more. Fair enough, they're both 100% wool outer but neither fit, or sit, like this one. Perfect for me. Feels very good quality and is well made compared to it's (much) costlier stablemates.Be prepared, when buying a hat mail order which you can't try on and look at yourself, to be disappointed and go through the returns procedure. Finding exactly what you're after is a joy. Well done Gamble & Gunn (and all associated Chinese colleagues!)
