The tubing is skinny and fairly thin, so you certainly have to be careful with it. Also, it is not high throughput by any means - if you are boiling in a large container this bulb may allow the pressure to rise more than you'd like.Normally I would give this 4 stars. However, on my third distillation run using this bulb I discovered that the output was fluorescing green! After quite a bit of investigation I discovered that the output stopper on my bulb had a potent fluorescent dye on it (probably fluorescein), and it was visible on the inside of the bubble wrap it came in using a UV light (it was entirely invisible in regular light). Hopefully this was a one-time thing (someone returned this particular bulb, or the person packaging it handled a leaking package of dye beforehand), and not something that is a recurring issue. Either way, since it shipped with an invisible contaminant that was not sufficiently removed with an initial rinse I'm docking it a star.

This item is perfect for simple distillations, depending on the other glassware chosen, the stoppers may not fit. A few precautions, this item likes to break. The first order, the item broke prior to arrival. This was easily remedied and no harm done, except for a few days time delay. Very good product so far.Will update as needed.

assumed the robber stopper would fit the graham condenser since they came in a set but neither work, its a size 1(19-15mm) and the condenser is a 20mm inlet... they slide off well and have a nice seal so it wont be hard to replace them, but its just more money

Arrive on time and was really well packaged. This was about twice the size I expected. The experiment I needed it for did not happen, so I have not used it yet, but it looks awesome in terms of construction and glass thickness.

Nice piece of glass, but broke before I could use it. EXTREMELY FRAGILE!It was my fault, but there is no great way to store it. Recommend buying a hard shell storage container

This piece of glass works for it's intended purpose, but mine broke the lower tube off in storage. Pretty fragile little thing. Since then, I got a ground-glass kit, so I don't really need this anymore.

This item is super thin, ended up breaking while try to flip the reversed stopper around and stabbed myself pretty badly... It works none the less but it was hell getting all pieces correct. Since it works I give it 2 stars or else it would had received none...
