BIC Standard Refills - Medium Point 1.0mm fits Wide Body, Velocity, XXL, Pro+, ReAction and AI 2ct, Black (MRC21-Blk)

It looks like it should fit the traditional black plastic government Skillcraft retractable ballpoint pen. I ordered it and it does not. I tried to trim the cartridge but I think the problem is the part where the roller ball is housed is wider than on the Skillcraft ones. I've been unable to locate refills for the Skillcraft pens, but considering you can buy them for less than a buck a pen, maybe there's no demand for refills.

I bought these for for a couple of older Bic XXL wider body pens that I have and they are great. Nice smooth ink delivery, and they've extended my use of these great pen barrels.

Bought this refill for my Bic ReAction, 1.0mm. It does replace the original cartridge but you need to use the original spring, which is about 5/8" longer than the spring supplied in the refill package. Attached photo shows the pen, the new refill (w/original spring) and the old cartridge with the supplied spring, for reference. I have one of my favorite pens back; simple pleasure!!

I ordered this tiny package to replace the ink in a favorite pen. The product is great, but the packaging is ridiculous. Amazon packed this in a box that could have held a queen size sheet set. It would have mailed just fine in a letter envelope.

I really wanted to like these :( they fit perfectly in the pen I placed them in but I couldn’t use the spring the refills came with. I had to use the original spring from my original pen. Which, that’s not the deal breaker. I really like the pen I use so I wanted refills for it but these refills write like they’ve been sitting in a junk drawer for 20 years. The ink is very faded, not smooth, and I got nothing accomplished using them. At this rate, I might as well just buy a whole new pen since I like IT so much.

I purchased these refills online during the pandemic because I didn't want to go into a store. They were a bit pricey, but not unreasonable. They work well and I got them safely, a convenient choice.

When I tried out one of the refills and it dried up/ran out of ink within a week, I thought it must have been bad luck of getting a faulty one. Then when the second refill ran out of link within a month I knew it wasn't bad luck it's just a bad product. The ink that was in the pens that I bought lasted me a year and a half. I didn't want to be wasteful and buy a new pen if I could just buy the ink but I guess it's my only option. Don't waste your money.

What more is there to say? It's a Bic, it"s cheap and it is reliable. I bought these to use in a 4-colour pen without having to buy the entire enchilada (all 40 colours), but they did not fit my type of pen which may have been a different four-colour system. However, I did insert them into other Bic pen models recently obtained and they work great.

The coiled spring with the refills didn't work. Had to replace them with the coiled springs from the original pens???
