GREAT buy! Excellent Shipping Packaging! Do dents--perfect Condition
This is a very heavy, very sturdy steel safe that definitely appears to be "pry-proof" and unhackable. It works exactly as described in the instruction pamphlet and is like a ton of bricks! I am amazed that there were no missing parts (keys, mounting bolts) and no dents when it arrived in pristine condition. I agree that you should be able to easily move it with 2 people as described, but I "waddled" it into the house without any problem all by myself, and I'm not a weight lifter, lol. I used a roll cart and those felt pads for moving to get this 120-lb safe to where I needed it. And I gotta give God the glory--HE helped me too! I didn't mash any fingers or toes by accident when I moved it, LOL! ;-)When you first receive it, without power you can unlock the safe by using the master key and the secondary "emergency" key--ie, this is fail-safe (pun intended) and dummy-proof operation. If the boards ever get fried (ie, the smart controllers for opening the safe), you can always still open the safe just with these 2 keys (for each safe section). Therefore, it's good to hide the secondary "emergency" keys in a very good secret location. After you open up the safes with no power, install your batteries (total of 8 "AA") and then set new admin and user passcodes (please do NOT keep the default manufacturer passwords! that would not be wise). And after that you can just easily use the master key and your passcode to access the safe usually. The secondary "emergency" key (and master key) for each safe can be used though if your batteries happen to die. I got the most operational help from not only the pamphlet but the online videos here too. Take your time to get setup.... There are a total of 8 keys, and only 2 are for each of the 4 keyholes. Ie, you have one duplicate key for each of the 4 keyholes.I had no problem with the appearance of the internal shelving, internal lining, or trim. Note that the inside key and paper holders on the back of the door are plastic (fyi), but they look nice. The one shelf is not solid enough though, and I doubt it will hold heavy items, so I removed it, along with its plastic shelf brackets. The bottom "secret compartment" is not cheap nor "jiggly," and is non-pryable as some seem to have reviewed and indicated. This is an amazing deal-- it has 3 times the typical 2 cubic-foot space (it totals 6.1 cubic feet) for only an extra $100 -- if you compare other similar models and sizes and prices. I don't think it's wise to buy the 2 cubic-foot safes because someone could walk off with one that size easily, you know? The interior lining is not leather, but is probably flame-retardant. Due to the mounting holes on the side of the safe, I doubt the safe is waterproof either. I would think it's water-resistant though; the holes are small. By the way, the safe came with the wall-mounting hardware if desired. I think that is hilarious. Again, this thing weighs a ton, and "hanging it" on the wall sounds crazy to me ...haha.Again, a great buy!

Easy to setup and roomy
The setup, despite not being the clearest of directions (I am assuming the writer is not a native English speaker), was simple. Both safes are roomy so they will store everything we have of value. In case you are wondering what the red keys are for, as I was since the directions do not mention them, are for the hidden compartment on the floor of the bottom safe. Be sure to have 8 AA batteries on hand when you do the initial setup. Each door requires four. The one feature I really like about this safe is in the case of dead batteries, you are not permanently locked out as the packs include what you need to open the doors to replace the batteries. Older safes required hiring a locksmith to get the door open. So despite my initial comment, 5 stars.

I would look elsewhere
The media could not be loaded. Item’s locking mechanism not working properly with entering code, only accessible by using the 2 key method which is not why this was purchased. Item also arrived with multiple tears on its interior wallpaper/padding. The “metal” rivets and accents on the interior are in fact cheap plastic that arrived damaged. The interior lockbox could honestly just be ripped open due to very cheap plastic trim and poor design. And lastly, this is absolutely not waterproof. The interior door has no rubber gasket/seal - there’s roughly 1/8th of an inch of give when it’s closed and locked, AND there are 4 large holes straight through the rear for bolting this to your wall. Once the water would get up to the bottom lip of the door, it’d flow right in. I’m not trusting my valuables in this and I’m very happy that UPS will come pick this up at my house to return for free.

Fits In the Closet
This is a nice small safe that would be ideal for my bedroom closet. I can store a variety of smaller items, including my firearm, which keeps the kids safe because it is locked away. The safe is on the heavy side and has shelves, but it is not an expensive item, and you get what you pay for. It works to keep children out, but I can't say the same for someone trying to break in.The shelves are adequate for light objects, but they are not particularly solid, and heavy objects may cause them to cave in. In my opinion, the flimsy plastic inside is not the best design and is created poorly. For the price, it works and I can't complain, so if you're on a tight budget, this one is ideal; if you're not, spend a little more and get a higher-quality option.

Great safe
We bought this safe for our 20 year old daughter that is just starting out in life so she has somewhere safe to put her valuables and important documents. It it very spacious. She really liked the hidden compartment. There is room for just about anything you would need to keep safe. Very nicely made

Love It
I was a little hesitant about getting the100DS because some of the reviews are not so good. I knew going in that the gold trim was all plastic but that is kind of standard for a safe this size at this price. The shelf was a little tricky but once installed it works great. There is a small light that comes on when the door is opened and fades put after some time if left open which is nice. The keypad is very simple to use once you figure out the right keys and the directions do a good enough job telling how to change the combination sequence and setting the time and date. Another complaint was back-lighting. The screen is back lit but the key pad is not, so it is a little tricky punching in the numbers in a dark room. It was very well packaged, a little heavy but my wife and I managed to move it up 10 steps and to the other side of the house without problem. The bolts are very heave and it makes that good "chunk" sound you want to hear when you lock a big door. Over all it's a good safe and I hope indont have to replace it, but I would buy it again.

The instructions are horrible
I like that it's heavy and sturdy. I like 2 separate doors and that it opens with keys.I have been unable to get the keypads to work even after talking with tech support from Amazon.Amazon offered to replace it but that's to much hassle, I'll just use the keys
