Does the job.
First one was defective. The company responded quickly with a second and arranged return shipping of the first. Works great, to get good auto feeding you must load stack to the front of the box. As long as you do this feeds fine. You will fill the basket fast, you can extend capacity by pressing the shredded paper down occasionally. It really meets my needs. Customer service was outstanding.

Awesome Shredder
Love that I can put in a handful of papers and walk off and leave it to shred, but it is a little finicky...if you have a paper in the middle of the stack that is shorter than 8 1/2 x 11, it shuts the whole operation down. Overall, though, this is much better than standing in front of the machine feeding it 3-4 sheets at a time. For the price, it is a great buy.

Auto Feed is a failure, especially compared to previous models.
This shredder isn’t just finicky, it is horrible at autofeed. The old style that had belts come down and push the paper into the shred head worked wonderfully. This shredder uses a plastic disk to push paper into the shred head and if anything is off by even a mm, it’s over, pop the lid and rearrange and start over. Even 1/2 of a ream of new paper failed to feed through the entirety of the stack. Don’t think about putting anything that isn’t 8 1/2x 11 in it because that shuts the operation down as well. In short I would not purchase this shredder if I were you. Thanks for reading!

SOLID SHREDDER
I researched several shredders that would do the job for our small office and am very glad I decided on this one. It works quite well, just like it said it would, and I love the feature where I can put some docs in it and walk away. You do have to make sure the shredding is pushed down from time to time, but that will happen with any shredder. I am also using regular clear trash bags from Sam's and they work just fine.

Great high capacity shredder
Excellent product. However it broke within a few days of use. Contacted customer service and they sent someone out to repair it. Hopefully there will be no more issues. This machine has been shredding like crazy.

Some smart design decisions, but longevity concerns
One could argue that this machine is overkill for home use, but given the sheer number of shredders I've gone through (all sub $150), I thought it would be worth trying something more...industrial. My primary use is basically shredding every document I get in the mail and anything with personal info on it, it adds up a decent amount of shredding each week. This thing is very, very large. Ensure you have the room for it. It works well overall, I primarily used the feeder slot. There is also a sort of bay into which you could put say, a freshly opened ream of paper (all perfectly aligned) and it would make its way through it without any input from you. But, if, like most people, all your shredding isn't the same size and shape and isn't perfectly aligned, then the slot becomes more or less useless. There are some good design decisions here, including built in slots for oil and the documentation. There is also a feature that lets you lock the auto-feeder bay if you put in 500 pages and want to walk away from it. All good things. It's also on wheels and pretty easy to move around. But at the end of the day I just don't have much faith in the machine itself. The cutter has something like a 20 year warranty (I hope that's on-site service, there's no way shipping this thing to them would ever be cost-effective) but the housing itself just doesn't look sturdy. There was already significant rattle and vibration after a couple days of use. And the feeding slot frequently failed to recognize paper was being fed.At this price, I expect more, is what it comes down to.

Self-Feeding Feature is Worth the Price of Admission!
In the past, we had to pay interns to sit and feed paper that needed to be shredded into the shredder. The self-feeding function of this model eliminated that "position/problem." We have been through numerous shredders that work for a time, but get over-loaded and eventually break. This a very good machine and accomplishes all we need, currently, for my small business. I highly recommend.

Very heavy duty, handles a lot without jamming
This is a very heavy duty shredder. Even though it can handle a lot of paper, it is not really too big for my office, and it runs fairly quiet. This is a shredder for doing a lot of shredding in a medium sized office. However, even a small office can accept this unit as in my opinion, it is not too big because it is tall but the footprint is not that great. It does allow you to put in a stack of paper and walk away...HOWEVER, that stack must be pretty neat, and the sheets cannot be bound into booklets or magazines or it will screw it up.The downside of the stack tray inside the lid is that it raises the external input paper slot about 2 to 3 inches more above the cutters. When I try to put in slightly crooked or small items, it does not find the cutters every time. This is a fairly expensive shredder, but it obviates the need to take large jobs offsite for secure shredding, which is something I have had to do on occasion. If you have a small or home office, you can go with one of the smaller models.
