SHINYOU Girls' Tutu Skirts, Birthday Outfit LED Light Up Skirt Ballet Yarn for Christmas Party (White 4~5Y)

Looking through the reviews before buying this I was a bit torn, there were some very clear claims of issues w/ quality and others clearly note that when the lights worked people seemed happy. The first question I suggest asking is this... are there a number of OTHER light-up skirt options at this price point or ANY price point? Assuming the recommendation system works, scroll up and find another skirt that fits 3 year olds (this one does, by the way). Not finding any better options? Ok, then let's move on... ;)So if we agree that our options are already limited, and that the wiring quality may be a bit flaky (mine is sometimes cutting out unless the battery compartment is very firmly sealed), and that it may not come with batteries (mine did not), and the fact that it does not tell you how to install the batteries (you want one + side up, one + side down as these are wired in series)... setting all that aside, when your 3 year old jumps for joy and dances around in the dark for an hour, you know what you need to know... it's a pain for the parents but kids love it.As for why 4 stars, frankly this is a 5 star product mired by a few omissions (batteries and instructions) and a not-so-well thought out battery case. If they fixed two our of three of those I would probably bump it to 5 stars because, again, you have no other option and it does what it is meant to do.

Super cute but cut it on and take the photos right away because once they play in it they might dislodge a wire so don't take that chance. If it's for a glow in the dark party let them play in something else first ( like a plain tutu) then put it back on for the birthday song and photos. Or buy two! Looks amazing on and in photos. It can be layered it's really worth it for a glow in the dark party. Be sure to place the batteries in correctly or it won't work. I heard some reviews were they said it didn't work I think they might replace the batteries in wrong. It won't light up if the batteries are not in the proper way ones up, ones down.

Did not include any light-up component. That said, it’s still a nice tutu and my kid liked it a lot.

Received today. Bought batteries to wrap with a gift but doesn't light up. Too bad since I know a little girl who would have loved it.
