"Relax", said the nightman...
These things are amazing! The first one I took out of the wrapper I left it on top of the kitchen counter. I was going to put it under the sink but forgot. When I came back to it a few hours later, the entire bottom part was full of roaches! I turned it over and set it by the stove, and the next morning, it was full. I set them up where I had been seeing roaches, and now I don't see them anymore (well, alive,anyways).PROS:1. EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE. Roaches cannot resist them.2. Nontoxic. It uses an attractant that smells like molasses, that is surrounded by very sticky adhesive. No poison needed.3. Enclosed design. Roaches love creeping around dark, tight spaces, what could be more inviting? Plus, you don't have to worry about seeing all them dead critters, or worry that your child (two legged or four legged) will get stuck on that mess.4. You see them dead. A lot of products advertise that they "take the bait and go die somewhere else". That's all good and well, but I want proof. (BTW I also set up Roach Max bait that "kills the nest") One more thing I did was throw some 20 mule team borax in cabinets where my dog can't get to. Lots of dead carcasses found in that powder.5. You can manually kill them. If I see one crawling up the wall, I will trap it and it will run into the trap and get caught. You don't get your hands dirty, no clean up.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.COINS: None

Don't purchase others, they don't work as well.
Works so much better than any other brand! We have purchased others but none work as good as this.

Catches roaches
I have seen roach parts in the kitchen (where my cat left them) and found roaches in the bathroom, so I placed one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. The smell of them is rather odd, and does not attract roaches from a distance. I have not caught any roaches in the kitchen and in the bathroom, I have only caught two roaches when I placed the trap near them as they were running around. Our house is not infested, but roaches sometimes come in the door or come up through the drain. Using the trap beats trying to catch and kill roaches, but is still more hands-on than I care for.

A safe method of dealing with pests.
I bought a quantity of these (2 cartons, 48 traps), simply as a matter of making my point in a somewhat acrimonious discussion about the excessive and indiscriminate use of insecticide. Having made my point, I actually gave the traps to the opposing party. Carrot and stick. However, I actually used the things when I lived in an urban slum apartment, with holes in the wall, thirty years ago. You have to use a lot of them, say, three to the room, but they get results, and they can’t poison you, or your pets. They are of good solid construction.

Amazing Non-Pesticide Roach Trap!
This is an amazing product and I've used dozens of them for several years in my house and they have caught everything from the smallest bugs to the largest tree roaches. I can't imagine why there are any negative reviews for this product -- some said that there was a bad smell from these but the reviewer must have meant to review a different product because this product has absolutely no smell and no pesticide in it! There is no substance in these products that attracts roaches -- but roaches like dark places and when one goes inside, it never comes out!In addition to catching bugs that I've never seen in my house, I've had multiple times where I've actually seen a roach in my house and couldn't catch it myself so I put down several of these traps in the area where I last saw it -- and the next day (or even a few minutes later) the roach was caught in the trap -- it has not failed a single time for me. Perhaps the stickiness inside them degrades over time so I change them every 6 to 12 months just to make sure. I am so thankful that I have a way to catch/kill bugs in my house without using any chemicals!

I use these a nindicator of how effective my Combat Source Kill bait system has worked.
I generally place Combat Source Kill baits round the house for a couple of weeks. Then put out the Roach Motels. If everything is working correctly, at first you will catch lots of roaches, (I replace flip over the hotels every 2 weeks and replace them monthly.) You will notice a dwindling number of roaches in the hotels over time. Within 2 months you should no long catch any more roaches as the baits have killed off the nest. This idea came from a local university extension agent after I told him how adverse I am to using insecticides inside my home. The baits work by making the females sterile . While I would not advise that you eat the baits, and definitely keep them away from children and pets. I am told they are basically harmless to humans if handled properly. I have been doing this for 6 years now and ever time I have tried this technique, within 2 months my house was roach free for at least a year. I live in the South and these can sometime be bad infestations of so call Palmetto Bugs (just a nicer southern name for a huge roach Also remember not to leave uncovered pet food out at night and no dirty dishes in the sink overnight.. This will help a lot. Total cost for a full treatment about $30. Total cost for an exterminator about $400.-$600. This system works better and you have no toxic sprays inside you house. One point I would like to make is that the Black Roach Motels alone are not a full treatments system and will not rid your entire home of Roaches you need the Combat Source Kill bait trays to do that.
