I was unable to clear my bathroom sink with these. The plastic pieces were not long enough, too wide, and not flexible enough to go around the pipe bend. The snake also failed to work in the pipe; however, it did prove to be a useful tool to clean out a vacuum cleaner hose. I don't know if you can just buy the small snake, but I give the product a 2 because the snake does have a use.

Extra long tool for cleaning drains, works great.It can also be used as a grabber for objects such as tools dropped in a hard ro get place.

This little tool works well. Makes a nasty job a bit easier. You can pull all sets of gunk out of the drain.

I guess this is more for sinks than toilets, but I bought this to remove a comb that was accidentally flushed. I tried the metal snake first, the main purchase, and found it was difficult to use as I could not see into the toilet. I think it would only be effective at grabbing something if you know where it is.I then tried a plastic one and kind of dig around aimlessly, and the comb ended up floating out of the drain. I think the grabby thing is too precise when you can't see what you're aiming for and I could have bought the plastic ones for about half the price.Not saying it's ineffective, this is just one experience
