I just picked up the KastKing Filet Knife and while I haven't had the chance to put it through its paces yet, I'm already super impressed with what's included. It's a great cordless filet knife. It works as well or better than electric knives that I own that I own. It features a finger guard that prevents your hand slipping over the grip and cutting yourself on the blade. I would highly recommend this cordless knife for filleting fish.

This knife is pretty good it's quite,comfortable to hold and enough power to do the job. I've cleaned bout 25 sand bass in the last week an still have battery power off first charge. I really like the case it's durable enough to take with me an store's nicely to keep it all in one place.. However the con is the blades look great but really struggle to clean fish. Hard to get through the ribs and fillet. The blades are more like a bread knife not aggressive enough for cleaning fish. They'll do it but it's a struggle. The pro is my old rapala blades fit an work great. If they would redesign this issue I think it would be a perfect alternative to the higher price knifes.

Amazing Lithium Battery Fillet knife, flawless oscillation for all four blades and blades are able to be disassembled for easy cleaning, extremely sharp! Pictures are the smallest and Largest in the kit! More time on the water and Less time worrying about processing! Oh and great for Turkey, chicken, ham, and roasts too!

Had a Rapala which was junk. This thing is a life saver! Had to learn real quick to keep the blades sharpened. I have a small portable table so when the boat is put in we immediately clean and bag the fish. So easy a child could do it:)!

I wanted to like this knife and just have something different than everyone else but it just wasn’t possible. The company was understanding and helpful once I got past the initial customer service rep.Reasons I wouldn’t recommend this knife:- Blades will not cut. I had trouble on the first crappie and couldn’t break skin by the third crappie. Very bad serration design.- The handle gets extremely hot after 3 to 4 minutes of use to the point that it caused complete failure of the knife after 3 fish. I had to borrow someone else’s knife just to fillet 15 10” crappie.- Blades are very difficult to install and remove.- Odd trigger guard gets in the way.- No fault of KastKing as a company because they are just rebranding a knife and retailing it with this product but it is the worst knife I have used over the last 30 years.Pros:They stand behind their product and gladly accepted a return of the product.

Overall this is a good electric knife set. The motor is quiet and strong. The 2 battery packs seem to hold a charge and recharge nicely. I love the carry/storage case. Very well made. The set comes with 4 sets of blades. Bluegill to salmon you should be able to fillet them all with this setup. Unfortunately my set had 2 sets that will not cut well. One is plain dull, so much so that excessive force is needed to even break a fish’s skin and scales. It will not separate fillets from skin. The worst offender is the 7” finesse blade. Didn’t want to cut and because of excessive blade tolerance filled up with fish matter and would gum up and bog down.I contacted Kastking customer service and they offered to help with this problem. They took care of me by offering me a refund or a gift card to their website. I chose the card and got a smaller knife set to replace the blades. Of course I had to spend more money on other things because of a shopping weakness I have but I am happy with the end result of my interaction with CS.
