Septree outdid themselves with this one
As a home cook who loves preserving food and making my own spice blends, I decided to try the Septree 18 Tray Commercial Dehydrator after outgrowing my old, smaller units. I’m really glad I did—it’s made a noticeable difference in my food preservation routine. I've been able to dehydrate a significant quantity of spices in a short time. Most recently I made some beef jerky with a recipe from the included book (it was fantastic) and some candied oranges, also fantastic. It’s huge, but that’s actually been a big plus. I can now dry large batches of fruits, veggies, and even meats like jerky in one go, saving me a lot of time compared to running several smaller batches. The stainless steel build feels solid and durable, and cleaning is so much easier than with my old plastic dehydrators. It’s clear this unit is built to last. The smaller plastic units tend to crack and break easily over time, this one will not. This machine is excellent if you're looking for an under cabinet or in cabinet solution as the controls are on the front. No need to pull the entire unit out to try and get to top mounted controls as everything is accessible right from in front of the machine. One of the standout features is the horizontal airflow system. Unlike vertical airflow models that can lead to uneven drying, the Septree dries everything evenly across all trays. I no longer have to worry about rotating trays or checking on my food constantly—everything comes out perfectly dried. I typically don't do fruits as high as 160°f but they work well at this temp and keep flavor well. I dried oranges and jerky at the same exact time without issue. Another great feature is the adjustable temperature control. Whether I’m drying delicate herbs or making jerky, I can dial in the perfect temperature for each food type, something my previous dehydrators couldn’t do. This has helped improve the quality of my dried foods. It goes all the way up to 190°f, which is more than adequate for all types of dehydrating. Even if you aren't doing large batches all the time, the build quality and complete control of the temp + time make this auch better deal than other models on the market. You also get fruit leather trays and the mats that help keep food from sticking to the metal trays. You also get some containers to store dehydrated goods and a pair of small silicon finger mits to grab the trays out. 10/10 suggest the Korean beef jerky and the orange cranberry turkey jerky. They are excellent. This machine is an excellent value for the money.

Amazing dehydrator for a homesteader
As a passionate gardener and homesteader, the Septree Commercial Food Dehydrator has been a game-changer for preserving my harvests. This dehydrator is not only efficient but also incredibly easy to use, making it a must-have for anyone serious about food preservation. The spacious design is perfect for large batches, whether I’m drying herbs, fruits, vegetables, or even jerky. I appreciate the adjustable temperature settings, which allow me to customize the dehydration process based on the food type. It’s especially handy for delicate items like flowers or greens that require lower heat to retain their vibrant color and flavor. What impressed me most is how evenly it dehydrates. The stainless steel trays ensure consistent airflow, so there’s no need to rotate trays mid-process. The machine operates sooo quietly, which is a bonus if you’re running it overnight. It's so much more quiet than I imagined it would be! Cleanup is a breeze, thanks to the removable trays and stainless steel construction. For homesteaders and gardeners like me, who value efficiency and quality, this dehydrator is a fantastic investment. Whether you’re preserving the bounty of your garden or stocking up your pantry for winter, the Septree dehydrator will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

Commercial Food Dehydrator 18 Trays
I believe that the capacity of 18 trays is a game-changer for anybody who is looking to dehydrate themselves seriously. The ability to prepare large quantities of fruits, vegetables, and meats all at once is something that I have mastered. The first try that I made consisted of a combination of beef jerky, apple slices, and banana chips. All of the ingredients turned out to be perfectly dried and bursting with flavor, which was an outstanding outcome. The power of 1500 W is not to be wasted. This device is capable of coping with everything that you throw at it. I've tried my hand at experimenting with herbs, tomatoes, and even making some goodies for my dog. Depending on the material that you are drying, the temperature control that is adjustable enables you to achieve accurate settings. After what seems like an eternity, I am finally able to take advantage of offers on bulk fruit without having to worry about it going bad. I am very grateful for the timer, which is one of the features. The ability to set it and forget about it has been a godsend, particularly for drying sessions that include extended periods of time. Now you won't have to stay up late to check on your jerky anymore. In the beginning, I did not have a positive experience with the noise levels. It took some time for me to get accustomed to the continual hum that this machine produces; it is not a quiet machine. Ensure that it is not located in close proximity to bedrooms if you want to set it up to operate overnight.

Works great
Definitely puts out some heat- I have it in a 20x12x10 shed that’s insulated better than my house; with the fans running and the unit set to 160 for 8 hours- the shed is very hot and humid. So it’s definitely doing what it is supposed to do. Nice and heavy unit, the two plugs as the primary instead of an optional setup is kinda lame (it’s like charging a Tesla off 110 using two circuits…) Plenty of trays to do 20lbs of 7mm thick jerky in one run even with 3 foil lined trays to keep the different types of jerky’s from dripping on the others It does have some noise because the 3 fans but it’s not bad at all

Excellent Upgrade
Purchased 2 units for making jerky. Had been using a Chard 12 shelf dehydrator for several years and was looking for a dehydrator with more spacing between the racks, easier to clean and would run at higher temps if needed. The Chard could only achieve 160 degrees. Decided on the Septree 18 tray. Removed the caster wheels from one unit and stacked them, giving me the option to run one unit or both depending on the volume of product to be processed. For first tryout ran 33lbs of of beef jerky sliced 1/4" thick. First off, wow the units are whisper quiet. The Chard dehydrator was louder than a large air fryer. These were so quiet I had to check to make sure they were running. The Chard suffered from poor air circulation when all the trays were fully loaded. Constantly rotating the trays and flipping the meat. With the Septree dehydrators I found I needed to rotate or flip very minimally. At the 3 hour mark I rotated the trays 180 degrees once and did not have to flip the meat at all during the drying process. Yes, your top and bottom trays dry a little faster than the middle trays. It took about 6 hours to finish all the meat. Since there's always a fluctuation in the meat thickness, you start pulling finished meat at the 5 hour mark. Once finished, cleaning was a breeze compared to the Chard. The dehydrator has a removable drip tray for easy cleaning of the unit. The mesh trays will fit in a dishwasher. I stacked them flat on the lower and upper baskets in the dishwasher. These dehydrators are awesome compared to the Chard which sells for about the same price. The only gripe and it's minor would to be to upgrade the toggle door latches to a magnetic latch or something easier to open. Defiantly happy with this purchase.

Great dehydrator
Perfect product for dehydrateing anything. I have used it for jerky, onion, sweet peppers, sweet potatoes and zucchini. I love it because I can do big amounts on the spacious trays. It comes with everything you need for all your dehydrated needs. Highly recommend this product.

Start with disappointment ended with one top tier machine
Originally when I ordered this dehydrator I was under the impression it was going to give me the full blast of 1000 watts. To my disappointment I received a previous model with a single plug which was severely under powered. I contacted the company and within a week they sent me the new upgraded model of dual plugs and 1100 watts. I'll load up 15 lbs of wet marinated beef and get jerky within 4-6 hours at 165 degrees depending on tenderness desired. The silicone mats, the racks, the machine itself is so easy to clean and to operate. Would definitely suggest
