Wood oven - Not easy to bake
The media could not be loaded. I bought oven powered by wood. It’s good, but you cannot bake many pizza because it need to re-warm and it’s take time. If it’s too hot, will burn the bottom of the pizza.I am using a pizza tray (net) to put the pizza on after 45 sec on the stone.

Great pizza oven
I very much like this oven. I was a little disappointed that I struggled with temperature control using wood & charcoal. This is probably due to my lack of experience so I ended up buying the gas burner attachment which gives more control. It’s a shame there isn’t room to add a little wood for smoke while using gas.As a newbie, it takes a bit of getting used to using it but it is very good.

Outstanding
I have wanted a 'real' pizza oven for quite some time. Then a trip to Italy showed me how amazing a really basic pizza can taste.Very easy to assemble and quite solid. I bought a fold-away table to support this (Ooni's own table does look nice, but is rather expensive). It has taken me a couple of attempts to get the fire working correctly, but managed to get the back of the oven up to 420 Celcius without much trouble. I do believe that 15 minutes to get to temperature is a little optimistic - certainly with the wood-burner. My first couple of attempts took considerably longer than that, but even now it's about 25 minutes to get up to heat and you have to pay attention. If the fire goes down, the temperature can drop quite quickly.I also bought a digital thermometer, because the temperature dial on the side of the oven gives you an idea of the temperature but nothing accurate.A pizza turner is essential, because the back of the pizza stone and the front can differ in temperature by 80 degrees or so, so the pizza can burn at the back unless you turn it.Good quality wood and fire-lighters are worth the expense too.Very easy to clean the ash out of the grate afterwards.Really pleased I bought this oven - based on a recommendation from the Which? magazine. Considerably cheaper than other models that I had seen advertised.
