Must-Have for Fluffy Double-Coated Dogs!
If you have a fluffy dog with a double coat — think Leonberger, Newfoundland, Great Pyrenees, or even a Husky — do yourself a favor and get this vacuum trimmer. It’s a total game-changer for grooming at home. The combs work really well, even through thick undercoats. The suction is powerful enough to grab all the loose hair right away, so you don’t end up covered in prickly bits. It’s also quieter than running a regular vacuum while brushing, so our big furball actually stays calm.Grooming used to mean fur tumbleweeds everywhere, but now it’s so much cleaner. No more clogged brushes, no more itchy hairs on your clothes and furniture. Whoever invented this deserves an award — it makes grooming faster, easier, and way less messy. If you share your home with a fluffy shed monster, this is 100% worth it.Only con is the size for the amount it can hold, but honestly I wouldn't change that because the size is great for storage.

Great little unit for a fair price and easy to use
Excellent product! With 2 German Shepherds the hair and shedding is non stop here! This works well with very little need for instructions or explanation. Pros: good suction, good attachment choices, lightweight, long cord and long vac. hose. Cons: hose gets dirty from dander, etc. really easily and can be difficult to keep clean to prevent odor. When you clean filters and collection basin (aside from just emptying) it can be trick to get it all to line up exactly right to prevent dust escaping and getting into the unit. Noise? middle of the road. My dogs aren't particularly sensitive and even my cat enjoys the brushing/suction of this unit. But we've don't lots of noise tolerance conditioning to begin with around power equipment, dremels, etc. YMMV. Overall, very happy with purchase. The power and ease of use makes the cons not a bit deal.

Works so well, no more mess!
Solid product! Love that the blow dryer isn't super noisy so the animals dont stay wet for so long in the house! The trimmer with the vacuum, brilliant! The brush head extention, an enlightened addition! No more mess! Haven't really used the other pieces though

Uproot grooming vacuum tool
Everything works fantastic for both my dogs. The canister has to be emptied often, as my girls have a ton of fur to take off, but once they are done this will help maintain their coats at a perfect length and the brush will work great for both. It scared the girls at first, but just worked slowly and they did great. Neither like the vacuum but this isnt as loud. Did notice a dust/dirt collection starting in the bottom of the trimmer, but easy enough to brush out. Also, it does come with the fabric scraper tool, so if you haven't bought that yet, this will prove uproots worth! Im glad I purchased this unit. Grooming will be so much easier and it paid itself off already, because it costs 140 every 8 weeks for my doodle and it would be another 100ish for my other dog if I were to take her in too. Instead I will save that money and spend more personal time with my dogs and can do it more often if they need it, with no extra cost.

Very useful and has reduced the mess of brushing my dogs.
For Golden Retriever owners...this product is a must! It is very quiet, so it doesn't spook the dogs, and they love it! They now come running when I ask 'Who wants to get vacuumed?' It has tons of attachments that work on all my dogs (goldens, labs, and jack russells).

Amazing hair management for a Golden Retriever!
We have loved having our Golden Retriever, but we never knew about the sheer volume of shedding they do on a daily basis! Opie is about 18 months old now, and I have to vacuum and sweep everyday to keep up with the hair dust bunnies floating all over the floor, carpet, and under furniture. I decided to take a chance on this grooming machine as he doesn't like the hair dryer much and Uproot was the only one that had the dryer option included that I found and still came with all of the other attachments.Opening the box to "first use" took less than 15 min. I looked over the start guide quickly and assembled the attachment I wanted to start with. I turned on the machine to have our dog get used to the noise levels and let him sniff everything thoroughly. (I had watched some videos that made this set up super easy while I waited for it to arrive.)Opie was able to get used to the machine and I started brushing him with the regular brush first to show him what it was while my husband pet him so he wouldn't be scared of this new contraption. The one handed control hair release buttons and the vacuum suction right into the machine were amazing! The noise level can be adjusted from very low to louder, but still about half of the noise of a hair dryer and the heat setting is so much more controllable and nice for the dog too. Goldens take literal hours and hours to air dry after towel drying, so when Opie had his first bath after purchasing this, we dried his outer coat with this machine and his undercoat dried so, so much faster! We could have continued on with more drying, but we were more than happy to have his outer coat as dry as he was at that point and wanted to let him take a break as it takes his breed so long to dry regardless of the dryer used. The brushing attachments are super easy to change out as you are working on your pet and they are all easy and comfortable to hold/use as the human. I have some grip issues with my right (dominant) hand and I could easily hold and use the attachments very easily one handed. The only tool we haven't used on the dog yet is the trimmer, but I did turn it on to show the dog and make sure they worked and they were totally fine. The detangling and deshedding tools are so amazing and work like a charm! They did not pull his hair or make him twitch at all. He simply enjoyed all the "pets" from the brushes. Our dog is a bit shy around things like this, so before I wrote this review I tried it out a few times on him to give the best information. Today, I brushed him for the 3rd time and he simply laid down and let me brush with the detangler, deshedder, and regular brush no problem. The hardest part was trying to get a 100 pound dog to turn over during his "spa" session! I think he thought I was going to quit brushing when I just needed him to lay on his other side so I could brush that side out as well. The final info I want to provide so as to help someone that might be on the fence, like I was, to make the decision to purchase the Uproot grooming machine, is the hair collection container. It is so easy to empty and it holds so much hair! The first time we used the machine, we had to empty it mid-brushing (once for each side, so 2 times total). However, Opie had not been brushed since about 2 weeks prior when he went to the groomers for a nail trim. Remember, he is a very large dog and has so, so much hair as well, so we weren't suprised we had to empty it. (When I vacuum each day - I get a whole container (much larger capacity - 6L) full of hair I have to empty just from vacuuming his kennel, the living room carpet, and the kitchen, hall, entryway hard surface floors. After the initial use/brusing, the next two times I brushed him with the Uproot machine, when I was done, I only had the amount shown in the pictures. The 2L Uproot container was about 3/4ths full. He was so much more well brushed out thanks to the machine than our hand held furminator and regular brush we have been using.Instead of spending $50 a month on the groomer for nail trims and brushing him out, we are going to stick with this! Now Opie can get daily brushing with the regular brush, weekly brushes with the detangler and deshedder, and I just purchased a nail grinder so I can do that myself too. With the trimmers I can keep his feet pads and bum hair trimmed up nicely (there are length attachments for the trimmer included) and we already give him baths at home, so now we can dry him much faster and much safer with controlled heat and airflow for a dog. Also, my kids can use the machine and brushes just as easily as my husband and I can.I went from being leary about the product and the price to actually writing a review because I'm so impressed with the quality, features, adjustable, yet still quiet sounds, and the comfort for my pet. Also, I'm vacuuming up SO much less hair from my floors and furniture already! If you're on the fence like I was, give it a try. I'm so happy I did and I get to spend quality time with my pup as I brush and groom him along with saving some serious money in the long run!
