I got my first tattoo over 30 years ago but only recently started getting into this art form for myself.Found these foam covers made a big difference, both in terms of comfort as well as control.For £12.98 ( at the time of review ) for 100 these are definately, in my opinion, worth it.They are quite a tight fit, they do suggest water or vaseline. I use vaseline, the video was from my first try, I use less now. It did take me a while to start, but once you get used to fitting them it's not a problem. I use less vaseline than I did.Have found my grip has changed a little as feel I have more control towards the end of the needle.Once they are fitted have not noticed them move at all, so am confident about the physical feedback I get from the needle.Overall I have no problem recommending them, However I am just a beginner so take that into account.

If you're new at tattooing, you might get these and try to place one onto your needle cartridge straight out of the box—don't! The instructions in the listing, as well as in any video you might find online, do suggest using water or vaseline on the foam covers before trying to use them. Following the instructions makes applying the foam covers fairly straightforward (it might be difficult, if not impossible, to get them on otherwise).As to whether or not you'll find these covers useful, I believe that would depend largely on your grip on the tattoo pen and your overall process. I'm not sure what more experiencend or professional tattoo artists would recommend. But, as a beginner doing this for fun, I think using a foam cover can make holding the pen a more comfortable and precise experience (as the vibration is felt less intensely and you are less likely to get jittery). Ultimately, I thought the covers were nice to have!

Finger fatigue, RSI and carpal tunnel syndrome are all the bane of a tattooist's life - and all caused by vibration and gripping the needle hard for long periods of time..Modern machines are better than the old style machines at reducing vibration, but tattooists still need to grip cartridge needles firmly to (i) control the needle and (ii) give an over all better end result. Memory foam covers are a great help - some cartridge needles have them pre-fitted but most don't, so these are ideal. They dampen the vibration and are more comfortable to grip than the hard plastic of the needle cartridge. Perfect.Easy to install, they will fit most cartridges comfortably and are a must in any tattoo parlour.At £12.98 for 100 (as at 15 October 2023) I think these are excellent value. Would recommend.

I feel like this is something i have been missing and didn't know was out there till they were recommended, and i am so glad they were. If you have ever used on of thos rubber grips on a pencil then this is the tattoo pen version of that, if offers a better way for me to hold the pen with more grip and control which is always needed for me.I would happily recommend this to others.
