Guaranteed to last longer than its owner
Chance of my being around in 50 years must be slim so...We bought these to replace a couple of cheapie sets of cutlery that we'd used for years and years. It was the rust spots on the knives that finally persuaded me to change. This set is very shiny indeed, like it's been hyper chromed. The individual items feel nice in the hand and are a good weight. There are no annoying corners or edges to catch the fingers. Beauty is subjective but I very much like the design. It's classic but modern at the same time. Each piece of this set is slightly smaller than its predecessor sets but you soon become accustomed to the change. I wouldn't use the teaspoon and dessert spoons as exact measures for a recipe but that's really nit picking. Definitely worth the money.

Quality
Love the design and the weight of the product, feels lovely to hold and looks stunning. Bought the set as a treat for myself as have always wanted a nice cutlery set ... have since lost a teaspoon and ordered 3 more (cheaper through Viners site direct for individual items). I read of lot of reviews on this before I bought it as was nervous about buying online without being to see and touch the product. All the comments were positive except those aboutthe teaspoons. The thing is, the teaspoon is exactly that... design for use as a small teaspoon, if you are used to what I call a ‘normal’ sized teaspoon this will feel strange at first but after a month of using I’m completely used to the size now, you adapt how much you need using a smaller spoon, you just have to get used to it. The spoons seem about half the size of what I’m used to so still have some if my old ones kept separately. Great for eating yoghurts or anything out of a small pot and makes it last longer. Absolutely love the whole set, I use the desert knives and forks to eat my dinner, while my husband uses the proper dinner sized ones, the desert knives and forks are perfect for ladies with small fingers (like me) .. one of the best things I’ve ever bought and the packaging was also very smooth and nice to touch. All round quality product for a good price, will definitely buy more to make my collection bigger.

Very good quality
We recently purchased this cutlery set, and it has quickly become a favorite in our household. The quality is immediately evident—each piece feels substantial and well-crafted. The weight gives a sense of durability, and the shine is just stunning, adding a touch of elegance to our dining table. We've used it daily, and it still looks brand new, resisting scratches and tarnishing. The balance in each piece makes them comfortable to hold and use. Whether it's a casual meal or a special occasion, this cutlery set makes our dining experience so much nicer. Absolutely worth the investment for anyone looking for a really great cutlery set!

Good Quality (from Indonesia)
This set arrived to supplement an existing Viners 18/10 cutlery set purchased 20 years ago. This set arrived in a nice box with each item individually packaged. Each piece is well made and feels heavy and substantial. The immediate impression is that they will last many years. This brings me to the guarantee - 50 years which is very impressive and an indication of the faith Viners have in their products.Viners make much of their British heritage and the packaging notes that the cutlery is 'designed in Britain'. However on closer inspection (in fact on very closer inspection) in tiny font tucked beneath the barcode it states that the cutlery is made in Indonesia, which is a bit disappointing.

Great quality
This is a great canteen of cutlery. Each piece is weighty and comfortable to hold and looks stylish. The teaspoons are dainty but I like that. They are presented well in a great wooden box which looks as if it will last. They came double boxed so arrived in perfect condition. Very happy with this purchase and look forward to using it over the years.

Not great if you have a dishwasher
They look great, and seem to be good quality. I was really pleased with them initially. However, after a few months of using them in the dishwasher many of them, particularly the knives, have started to show signs of rust/corrosion. Quite disappointing as it said they were dishwasher safe.
