Keeping fingers crossed
I am refurbishing my Husqvarna 48" YTH24K48 ride-on mower, where the parts manual states a 532197242 belt is required. The mower has 297 hours on it with the original belt. The belt is in excellent condition but for two small cross-splits on the inner edge. I decide to replace it while I'm at it and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this new one will last a good while too.I ordered a "genuine" Husqvarna belt due to the performance of the OEM belt. However, I am really not sure if this is truly an OEM belt. The packaging says Husqvarna. The 197242 number on the belt is a correct cross-reference designation, but I am not at all sure it's a Husqvarna part number per se. Another label is placed on the Husqvarna package with a number that is totally different... 593773401. Google shows that other potential suppliers do list this number... "Husqvarna 593773401 - Replacement MPN: 75-894,532197242,265-220,175-894 Genuine Husqvarna Product" I guess I'll have to have faith in this belt and in the supplier!I have yet to rebuild the mower as the winter weather is not cooperating. However, allowing for the wear, the old and new belts are identical in length and cross-section. I will update the review once I fit the belt and the mowing season gets going. Watch this space!

There is not enough room to express my displeasure and frustration with my purchase of this belt!
Belt shredded within 3 hours of use. (Seller refunded only the purchase price for defective item- $6.80 for return shipping came out of my pocket.) This belt is not kevlar, is not good quality, is not worth the time and effort to even come close to resolving the issues you are going to have with the purchase of this belt. Only buy this belt if you would like to elevate your blood pressure. I'm still picking up pieces of the shredded belt in my yard.

Read This And Get The Belt Installed Right.
Good price. Correct belt. A little wisdom that will save you some trouble, If you put the belt in and it looks to be 2" short then you are doing it the wrong way. You were close. Knowing that the vee goes into the mandrel pulleys and the flat side of the belt goes on the idlers, you can still get in trouble. The solution is knowing that the belt goes around the left side mandrel, then around the idler (the one the tensioner pivots on) then to the engine pulley. This way the drive belt wraps about 2/3 of the way around the left side mandrel pulley (opposite of the discharge side.). Read this and look at the belt routing and you will get it right, and maybe save a trip back to the dealer with the tractor like I did. Happy mowing.

you should be ashamed to make and sell such a poor quality product
I bought this belt on April 12 this year and I mow our grass about every 2 weeks. Today I was going to mow again and shortly after I started the belt got loose and it came out. I checked it out and it's broken in two places. So it lasted about 6 mowings since I bought it and installed it. You guys, you should be ashamed to make and sell such a poor quality product. And it wasn't cheap, I paid $33.96 for it. You basically are stealing people's money... I'm going to look for it somewhere else. Thank You for screwing me up.

Riding Mower Belt for Craftsman mower
Fit as expected, but started de-laminating after 90 minutes of mowing. Pure junk. Bad vibrations when the mower deck is engaged. I checked for something stuck to the blade but found nothing. I checked the blade spindles and they are adequately greased and spin freely. The underside of the deck is very clean, as well. I re-installed the previous belt (5-years old) and it worked flawlessly until I was done mowing, approximately two hours. Not sure what the issue was but this new belt failed all too soon. My opinion is that this is simply junk and not worth consideration. I would give this a zero-star rating, if I could. The indication by the seller is that this is a new OEM belt for the Husqvarna riding mower with 48" deck. This is also the exact same belt my Craftsman 48" riding mower accepts. From the packaging the belt was delivered in, there is no indication that this is an original OEM belt. It may also be that this was a faulty belt to begin with. That we'll never know. Very disappointing experience.

Fits Craftsman DYS 4500 Mower Deck
Updates: After two uses the cloth cover over the belt is completely shredded exposing the rubber belt. I can't tell if there's any cords inside the rubber or not but I'll find out if it breaks.Perfect fit, works well. This is the mower deck blade belt from the engine NOT the drive belt to the transmission . Measure before you order. These products were delivered as advertised and fit just like the OEM ones I replaced.

I have had the mower for 4 years and the belt that came with the mower is actually still in good shape, I decided to finally change the belt ...
This belt shredded within about 18 hours of usage (about 6 mowings). I have had the mower for 4 years and the belt that came with the mower is actually still in good shape, I decided to finally change the belt this year since it was well overdue to be replaced. That belt has 250+ hours on it. This belt lasted 18 hours, so obviously this belt is garbage, avoid at all costs. In fact, I put the 250+ hour belt back on (I saved it just in case) after this one shredded so I could complete my mowing.

DIDN'T LAST A SINGLE SEASON!
Pathetic waste of $ and time. This past spring I decided it was time to replace the original equipment belt on my Husqvarna YTH24K48. I wasn't having any problems with the belt and it was still in good shape, but it was now 10 yrs old and I figured it was long overdo for replacement. Ordered this belt - which is advertised as a direct replacement for my lawn tractor- on May 29, 2019, and installed it the following week. It is now September 13, 2019, and as can be seen by the pictures it is already shot. My old belt was in better shape after 10 yrs. than this one is now after only 3 1/2 months. NOT a happy camper!
